This apartment has just been totally renovated to provide a light, airy feel. With it's high ceilings and full length windows, it is a relaxing and comfortable space. The new kitchen has all modern facilities and is a pleasure to cook in (unlike typical French apartments it is spacious and totally fitted). This apartment would suit anyone who wants access to all of the pleasures of Nice but also wants to escape the traffic and noise of the busier old town areas. It is a 10 minute walk along the sea front into the main areas for markets and shopping and outside cafe's. As taxi's are not easily found at night this is a huge bonus for anyone wanting to stay out later on in the evening.
The port itself is still very traditionally French rather than the more touristy areas. On your doorstep you have all the local shops, restaurants, cafe's, banks, pharmacies etc that you would need and the port front is only one block away. As well as the main beach of Nice itself, there is a small beach less than 5 minutes walk away. There are also some fantastic swimming spots here and sunbathing platforms with lovely views. It tends to be used more by the local French so remains quiet during the week.
The main buses all stop in Nice port and the bus stop is 5 mins walk away. The train station is 10 mins walk but between the two you have easy access to the whole of the Cote D'Azur.

The warmest and driest area of France which is a pleasure to visit all year round. There are loads of museums, art galleries and shopping areas in Nice itself, as well as fantastic viewpoints and outside cafe's for people watching.
Nice / Port of Nice area
There is a jazz festival every August, Nice carnival in February and loads of activites taking place on the Promenade des Anglaises. You can visit the Matisse museum, the Modern Art Gallery, the Renoir Museum, just to name a few. Monaco is easily reached by train or bus to visit the Casino, the port, the cathedral and view the Grand Priz circuit! Antibes, Juan les Pins, and Golfe Juan are all easily reached by bus or train to provide additional beaches and shopping. The medieval hill top village of Eze is close by and worth a visit for the views and the atmosphere and Villefranche-sur-Mer is also worth visiting for the views and waterside dining.
How to get there
20 minutes from Nice Airport. Cheap flights are available from Easyjet, BMI Baby, Jet 2, FlyBe and British Airways. Ferries leave from Nice port for Corsica and Sardinia.
