Discover Nice Apartment is an attractive and spacious town apartment in the pleasant "Quartier Musiciens" area of central Nice. It is on the ground floor of an elegant, and is 'traversant. The apartment benefits from a very convenient location just two minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the same distance to Nice's main train station for connections along the Côte d'Azur. The main shopping area and restaurants are also within 10 minutes walk, with supermarkets (CocciMarket is 2 mins away) and bakeries in the immediate vicinity.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

All the attractions of Nice are within walking distance and there is no need for a car. The bus from the airport (no. 98, Nice Centre Promenade Direct, ticket four euros from the counter in the airport or from the driver) takes a quarter of an hour: the nearest stop is Gambetta, 100 metres before the Hotel Negresco, practically opposite the apartment building. The airport is approx. 3 km away, Nice railway station 2 km and the ferry 3 km.

All around the apartment (less than 100 m) there are bakeries, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, outdoor and indoor...

You can go to the Opera, Jazz, Museums ( Chagall, Asiatic, and so many more... ). You' ll love swimming into the warm sea, eating in the myriad of local restaurants, going to the outdoor markets, buying fresh fish, flowers, fruit, vegetables all around the week, having a lively nightlife, walking through the VIEUX NICE ( old Nice), roller blading down the Promenade des Anglais, taking a Riviera boat trip visiting the Iles de Lerins, (an island which belongs to a Monastere where everything is calm, people quiet , your head in the sunny sky, ground under your feet, sea all around you, just hearing among mediterranean trees the wild wind whispering words of wisdom , full of scent coming from the rising sun...)

A TAXI station is to be found in front of the building.Close to it a bus leads you DIRECTLY to the airport (15 minutes),to the railway station, to the beach ( 4 minutes), and to all the main areas in NICE;
From the station you can go to MONACO ( 10 minutes), CANNES, ANTIBES JUAN LES PINS, MONACO, SAINT TROPEZ; VINTMILLE ( ITALY 30 MINUTES) or by regular buses to SAINT PAUL DE VENCE, GASSE and so on. winter in one hour drive you can ski !!!
In Winter the CARNAVAL DE NICE ( February ), la FETE DU CITRON in MENTON ( February ) in May LE GRAND PRIX DE MONACO, LE FESTIVAL DE CANNES, LE TOURNOI DE TENNIS DE MONACO, and why not ? all around the year a trip to CORSICA by regular boats from NICE, or to VENICE by car ( directly by motor way ) or by buses.

How to get there

Fly to Nice Airport with easyJet from Bristol, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted or Newcastle; fly with BMI from Birmingham or London Heathrow. Flights also available with British Airways, Air France, Austrian, Lufthansa, Sky Europe, and many other airlines.

Bus number 98 runs at regular intervals (every 20 minutes during the week, every 30 minutes on a Sunday) between the airport and the town: tickets cost 4 euros and can be purchased from the driver. Ask the driver for the stop closest to the Hotel Negresco.

Taxis in Nice are fairly expensive: the taxi fare between the airport and the town (about 4 km) is about 22-24 euros - but it may be a Jaguar.
The best deals for car hire are available at the airport, but as the apartment is ideally situated in a prestigious location right on the sea front within walking distance of all the main attractions, a car is definitely not necessary

As one of France’s most famous and cosmopolitan holiday destinations, with its remarkable climate Nice is a magnet visitors from many countries who are keen on swimming, walking, cycling, rollerblading and sailing, or simply strolling along, basking in the sunshine and the holiday atmosphere and admiring the views.

This particular stretch of the Promenade is dominated by the famous dome of the Hotel Negresco, dating back to the Belle Epoque and reminiscent of a wedding cake, and offers a variety of hotels, restaurants, pavement cafés and piano bars, some with a dance floor. Stylish entertainment is available in either of the two casinos, and it is a leisurely walk along the front to Vieux Nice, the old town with a wealth of fascinating shops, historic buildings, churches and squares that has been attracting artists, writers and musicians for centuries, and where on most mornings you can wander through the flower market in Cours Saleya, or the antique market on Mondays. When the market stalls are packed away, the whole area is given over to restaurants and pavement cafés, where you can order a meal as you watch the world go by, or admire the waterfall on the castle hill framed by Mediterranean pines.

The focal point of the Cours Saleya is the Palais des Rois Sardes, dating back to the time when the Savoy dynasty held sway Nice, and indeed the Italian influence is still evident, not just in the local cuisine but also in the people, the dialect and the street names.
