Home description
Our very attractive first floor studio , which faces south, is in the heart of Nice, and one can reach the Promenade des Anglais through private gardens.It is between the Palais de la Mediterranee and the Negresco Hotel. Being set back from the Promenade one is not troubled by the noise and pollution of passing traffic. There is a second entrance to the building, 57 rue de France, which is a couple of minutes from theMassena pedestrian precinct, famous for its open air restaurants, bars and cafes as well as street entertainment. There is a great selection of local shops and small supermarkets nearby The studio itself is about 26m2 and is well equipped and comfortably furnished. The sejour , a light and airy room has original parquet flooring which has been restored.There is a superior quality sofa bed ( the mattress being 17 centimetres thick). a dining table for 3 and a sideboard , there being plenty of storage space. There is a fitted galley kitchen which opens onto the sejour. Leading off the sejour is the large terrace with table and chairs and there is a sun awning.which keeps the direct sun out of the studio. More often than not there are gentle breezes off the sea. The view from the terrace is over private gardens and palm trees. The studio has been refurbished and redecorated throughout. There is a lift. The building and grounds are well maintained and there is a resident concierge.

Nice has one of the most famous coastlines on the Cote d'Azur, the Baie des Anges. Surrounded by hills and mountains Nice has a wonderful all round year climate
Nice / Central Nice area
Nice is a warm, vibrant and fascinating city and has much to offer the visitor with its beaches, restaurants, art galleries, museums and the night life. There is plenty to keep one occupied. Near the port and hill top chateau is the Old Town with its maze of narrow streets, many squares, little restaurants and fascinating shops. There is also the colourful weekday flower and vegetable market in the Cours de Saleya. Festivals include the Carnival in February and the Jazz festival in summer
Within easy reach of Nice are many other resorts such as Antibes, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Menton whilst a trip into Italy to the border town of Ventimiglia is well worth a visit on a Friday, for its extensive street market. Trips inland could include St Paul de Vence, Grasse and the numerous enchanting hill top villages. The single track railway journey into the mountains from the Gare de Provence is one not to miss.
How to get there
By plane, train or road On arrival at Nice airport there is a regular direct Express bus service which will take you into the town centre, with a stop about 200 metres from the studio. Journey time about 25 minutes. Taxis are always available. Cost about 30 euros.
