About the home

This sunny top floor apartment is 10 minutes walk from the beach, Nice city centre and old town. You have easy access to all shops and restaurants, and railway station with most car rental companies is a five minute stroll away. Airport is a 20 minute drive away. Burgeois style, bright round living room is in a corner tower with three windows, which have beautiful views to surrounding hills around Nice there is TV with english news channels BBC world, Sky news CNN and internet access free of charge. Sunny, south-facing balcony is off the bedroom and has enough room for you to enjoy your croissant and coffee in the morning. En suite bathroom has a rain shower and bath tub, as well as a sky-light window. There is a separate quest toilet in the hallway. In the bedroom you find a double bed and plenty of storage room - with airconditioning in bedroom. Two people can be accommodated on the living room sofa-bed. Beside the fully equipped kitchen there is a dining area for four persons.

Located in Southern Europe at the south eastern extremity of France, Nice is a privileged crossroads between the Alps, Provence, Corsica and Italy. The city occupies an exceptional natural site in the heart of the French Riviera. It stretches over a coastal plain open southward onto the Mediterranean and bounded from East to West by a succession of wooded hills. In the background, rise the first peaks of the Alpine foothills, some reaching over 9000 ft above sea level, only 31 miles (from the coast) as the crow flies?

Travelling west by Train, Cannes (25 mins) and St Tropez (60 mins). Travelling East, Monte Carlo (25 mins), Val D'Isere ski resort on the Italian border (approx 65 mins).

The Nice area

There is a large selection of nightlife for all styles and tastes in Nice, mainly centred around the bars and restaurants of Vieux Nice (old Nice) and the pedestrian zone (off place Massena)
The general ambiance is a relaxed informal environment with many Pubs and clubs catering for an international clientel, bars such as .....

Waynes - Young, student English/American crowd, live band, dancing on tables etc
McMahons - Irish themed, casual style, pool tables, open till 2.30am
O'Neills - Irish themed, casual style, Satellite TV, Monday night football, darts, occasional live bands

Absolutely fantastic apartment on the top floor of a beautiful old Palais building. The flat was spotless, had all mod cons - dishwasher, washing machine, air con - and had retained its original character. Loved the views from the balcony - and next door’s friendly cat! Ideal location with 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and train station. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for a great holiday Paul!

We visited Nice in May 2008. We sected a property from the Webiste and made general enquiries with Paul Manion. Paul explained everything via email and we went ahead and booked. The whole experience was first rate. The apartment was exactly what we hoped it would be and was in a great location. It certainly represented value for money compared to what we would have paid to stay in a tiny hotel room even in 4*.

I would have no reservations whatsoever in promoting the services of Go-Nice. 10/10 for service.

Just wanted to say a big thanks for our wonderful stay. Your service was sensational, and we want to thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty on our last day.

Apartment was great, we have a 3 year old daughter. Air conditioning in bedroom much needed through the hotter months and of course the lift is great seeing as it is on the (takes you to the 5th floor, and then one flight of stairs) 6th floor. You have everything you need, washing machine, microwave, stove, dishwasher.
Bathroom was newly decorated and having a bath was fantastic for a little one.

Location is great as it is very close to the main shopping district, a short walk to the Promenade and excellent for the train station which is very useful if you want to travel to neighbouring towns. Train travel is very cheap in relation to other expenses. We didnt go by bus as our daughter loves trains!

There is a supermarket approx 150 metres down the street (towards the beach) and a fruit shop right across the road.

We hired bikes from Energy scooter (near the hotel Negresco) and they only charged an extra 2 euro for a babyseat on the back and helmet was free. Very worthwhile to enjoy the Promenade.

Had such a lovely family holiday, would highly recommend Go-Nice for you next trip to the South of France.

The Go-Nice agency that looks after you in Nice is very organized and has many years experience of organizing holiday rentals - they have a contract with Nice airport (or a central hotel near Nice train station if arriving by car or train) collecting keys is very simple and efficient - you can arrive any time of day to 12 midnight (everyday) - simply show your passport at desk and keys will be issued - no waiting around trying to meet people or worrying about delays - there is no charge for this service and no extra charge for late arrivals or Sundays.

On booking full key collection details and directions are sent - Payment is by credit card - Go-Nice has an office in central Nice at 11 rue du Congres which also gives you reassurance that there is someone available in emergencies or any everyday questions.
