About the home

A lovely modern 1 bedroom apartment with swimming pool - very well presented in a building only 5 years old in a great location only 50 meters from Promenade des Anglais and beach. Les Palais des Domes is an ideal holiday residence -with all the features of a new building. it has air conditioning, very good security, a nice corner balcony and great swimming pool. On entry to this 3rd floor apartment (with lift) you have a very cosy livingroom with a sofa/bed and chair, TV and DVD (with english Sat TV inc BBC, ITV and Sky news) and free internet/Wifi there is a breakfast bar and 2 chairs - an American style open planned kitchen with oven, hob kettle and coffee maker) From the livingroom you have access to a corner balcony (with views of hills in background). In the bedroom you have a double bed and plenty of storage cupboards. There is a showerroom with shower - large wash basin and Bidet. There is a separate closet with toilet and handbasin. The pool is excellent and well maintained (normally open from May - end Sept) This is a perfect loaction for acouple or family holiday - located in Magnan (West Nice) approx 1 mile from downtown nice (on bus route) and 50 meters from promenade and beach (there are plenty of local shops and restaurants - but still within walking distance of central Nice approx 20 mins along promenade) there is also secure public parking under the building if required. This is an excellent apartment.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Located in Southern Europe at the south eastern corner of France, Nice nestles between the Alps, Provence, Corsica and Italy. This privileged city stands on an exceptional natural site at the heart of the French Riviera. It stretches over a coastal plain southward onto the Mediterranean, and it is bordered from East to West by a succession of wooded hills. In the background are the Alpine foothills, some of which reach over 9000 ft above sea level. These are only 31 miles away from the coast as the crow flies.

To the west, Cannes is just 25 minutes away on the train, and just an hour from St Tropez. To the East, Monte Carlo is a 25 minute train journey away. It is only around 65 minutes to the Val D'Isere ski resort on the Italian border.

The Nice area

There is a large selection of nightlife for all styles and tastes in Nice, mainly centred around the bars and restaurants of Vieux Nice (old Nice) and the pedestrian zone (off place Massena)
The general ambiance is a relaxed informal environment with many Pubs and clubs catering for an international clientel, bars such as .....

Waynes - Young, student English/American crowd, live band, dancing on tables etc
McMahons - Irish themed, casual style, pool tables, open till 2.30am
O'Neills - Irish themed, casual style, Satellite TV, Monday night football, darts, occasional live bands
Deklomp - More French style bar, relaxed environment, live band, open late, english Russell behind bar
Thor - Scandinavian themed, casual, live band everynight, small dance floor.

Key collection from airport ~ so smooth and the directions to the front door of the apartment so clear! Apartment very well equipped, so much so that we ate in several times to make use of the equipment, aided very much by the very good supermarket on the corner ~ we usually worry about the ice cream melting before we get it home but no worries on this score. Excellently situated for the beach (somebody always forgets something) and so convenient to walk to when the sun gets a little too much.
Very good transport links to centre and the airport as well as the bus service west along the coast, though it must be said, the promenade into the hub of things so very pleasant, there and back! We were so surprised by the provision of things we would normally have to buy ~ airbeds, washing up liquid (and needless to say would leave behind) The air-con was so much appreciated too! Entertainment in the apartment ie. PS2, guidebooks, magazines were a advantage, as was the view of the balcony onto what we can only describe as a confusing road junction (this entertained my husband for hours as he investigates car insurance claims!) Boulangerie around the corner too tempting and the Magnan restaurant, a great find! All in all a wonderful time. We will most certainly use Go-Nice again and will recommend to our friends. Thank you to all those who made it an enjoyable holiday!!

This is our second time using one of Paul’s apartments and once again we have had a lovely stay.
The apartment was bright,airy and very comfortable. Even though only one bedroom, there was plenty of space for us and all our things…(two adults and two small children). The sofa bed was very big and there was plenty of space in the room for travel cot(supplied)when it was up.
A five minute walk lead to The Promenade and the 1euro bus to Cannes!
We look forward to visiting Nice again.

This apartment is fantastic! You have use of a shared pool and are literally 2 mins walk away from the beach so you have the best of both worlds! There is a supermarket which stays open to 9pm every night right beside the apartment which makes stocking up on essentials really easy. There is also a tobacconist, a chemist and a lovely little restaurant just round the corner. The apartment is a lot more spacious than it appears in the photos and the air conditioning means it stays lovely and cool during the day. The apartment has everything you would ever need - from the basics like cutlery, plates, glasses, kettle, toaster etc to the unexpected like lilos and a foot pump!

The only downside (and while it is a small one it is worth mentioning) is the traffic noise. Being located so close to Nice, busy roads are unavoidable, but there is fire station nearby so sirens do go off quite frequently. I have to say this didn’t bother us and we consider it a very small price to pay for all the other benefits which the apartment has.

I’d also like to add that our entire experience was completely hassle free, the directions to the apartment were superb, there was even a complimentary gift basket in the apartment when we arrived - we couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely be back!
