The bedrooms have lots of natural light with large windows with custom-made curtains. The main bedroom has a large, comfortable king size bed, two bedside tables with reading lamps, a glass panelled double sized wardrobe and a vanity area with chest of drawers and mirror.
The second bedroom has a king sized bed with two bedside tables and reading lamps, a double wardrobe and occasional chair. A sliding door separates the bedroom from the living area.
Stairs in the second bedroom, lead up to a mezzanine area with a low wooden beamed ceiling which has a single bed ideal for a child but large enough for an adult. The mezzanine has its own vanity area with dressing table and mirror, wicker stool/storage, corner lamp and overhead light for reading.
The bathroom is fitted with a bath with shower unit. It has two wash basins which sit on a wooden vanity unit with storage, a large mirror, toilet and towel wall heater. A window opens up to a spectacular view of Nice's rooftops.
The living area and kitchen are open plan with wooden flooring, a skylight and wooden ceiling beams. The large dining table with four high backed chairs takes centre stage. To the side stands a dresser with storage and glass display. A low sideboard holds the TV and stereo which includes an i-Dock. There is a three seater sofa with coffee table which stands on a decorative grey and black rug. Two old style armchairs are placed to the side of the sofa should you prefer some indoor relaxation. Spotlights hang from the ceiling and tasteful artwork adorn the walls.
The open plan kitchen/living area has a large American fridge, dishwasher, oven with four ring ceramic hob and extractor fan, microwave and plenty of storage. The washing machine/dryer is located in a cupboard in the bathroom. A large old style clock on the wall is purely for decor, as time slips by that time in your French home.
The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region
The Côte d’Azur lies between the mountains peaks of the Alps and the shimmering turquoise Mediterranean. It has been the playground of Europe since the 19th century when it became a popular holiday destination for the rich and famous. It remains to this day, one of the most sought after destinations in France and is ideal for family and group holidays as well as romantic city breaks.
Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. There is plenty to see and do and something to suit all tastes.
With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.
Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible. A day trip to the ski slopes of Auron and Isola 2000 during the winter months is also feasible.
The well known Rue Droite is a typical Nicois street located in the very heart of the Old Town. This enviable location gives you a perfect central base from which to explore all Nice has to offer.
Rue Droite is home to many local artists' galleries as well as the Palais Lascaris, an impressive stately home tucked away on this winding road. Place Rossetti is just steps away with its dominant Cathedral and famous ice cream parlour, Fenocchio. The Cours Saleya daily market is also less than 5 minutes walk away.
If you feel like exploring further afield, it's only a five minute walk to the main bus stops. The train station is 25 minutes away or, hop on the tram, and you’re there in five. You can reach the beach and Promenade in 2 minutes, and the Port and main shopping area in 10 minutes. If you're planning on using a car, the Cours Saleya underground car park is on the doorstep.

"Beautiful apartment, great location"
This apartment is just great! The location could not be better, right in the heart of Old Nice. The apartment is located on the 4th floor, if you don´t mind a few steps, the place is great. The apartment is just big enought for 4-5 people and nicely decorated. Best of all is the small terrace where you can see the roof tops anf the hills.
Thank you for your review of our La Belle Excuse apartment. We're glad to know that you enjoyed your stay with us in Nice, and we hope to see you again next time you visit the Riviera.

"A stunning apartment in a beautiful location"
It almost seems a shame to be so positive about this place, as we know that it will be booked solid and we won't be able to come back!!! A beautifully finished apartment - light and airy with the most perfect little terrace, where you can hear the waterfall on the hillside. A well equipped kitchen with little extras, and the most charming bedrooms with big comfortable beds. Wifi, a dvd player and a few dvds in case you fancy a night in (or bring your own). Lovely luxurious bathroom and even a washing machine. Right in the centre of Nice Old Town. Within walking distance of the port, the markets and the shopping centres, be couldn't have been better placed to explore. Surrounded by lovely bakeries (we would especially recommend the one in place gesu) and you will be able to eat those extra croissants with the 77 steps up to the front door. Phew! A few doors down from the apartment is a pub called The Snug, which has live music and friendly staff. Great double glazing in the apartment means you can't hear it at night though. No place for a car if you are thinking of exploring further, but the bus / train systems are excellent. I would recommend for romantic couples, friends, families with slightly older children (pre-teens+). The staff at Nice Pebbles were lovely and so accommodating. Looking forward to returning (if we can get a place!)

"Well appointed apartment with great rooftop terrace - close to everything"
Spacious 2 bedroom apartment - very well appointed. Close to old town shops and markets as well as the beach - 5 to 10 minutes walk to most places. Riviera/nice pebbles were great they met us nearby and took us to the apartment - explained everything they were very helpful. We did not need to catch taxis/cabs we just walked everywhere - Nice is quite flat. Close by though is a nice walk up to the waterfall and gardens - that is a bit hilly but the view is sensational - everything about the apartment and the location is fantastic - just one thing to remember - there is no elevator and it is on the top floor. 77 steps to the apartment - we didnt mind at all but this is something to take into consideration - think of it as good exercise as this is a very well situated apartment- would definitely stay here again! We drove to Nice from Cinque Terre and just left our car in a parking garage nearby - we didnt use it at all - parking was 25 euro per day. Nice is a must as a holiday destination especially as we love the water and beach - great restaurants, shops and markets - stay at least 4 nights and enjoy what it has to offer!
