The two bedrooms are similar in size and look. The ground floor bedroom has a Super King Size bed with reading lamps either side. This bed can be split into 2 single beds if preferred (Please email us if you want this arrangement at the time of booking). There is a double wardrobe and chest of drawers and an LCD screen if you prefer to watch TV in bed (DVD's only - this TV has no channels). There is a small window for natural light looking out into the building atrium.
The second bedroom is upstairs. There is a King Size bed along with reading lamps. There is a large fitted wardrobe. Again there is a window which has a great view of the Cathedral Dome and the Nice hills. Off this bedroom is a top of the range en-suite shower room.
The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment and a wash basin.
Like most of our rental apartments the living area and dining area are open plan. More uniquely, the well thought out double glazing that pushes out inside the walls means the terrace can be open plan too! So with a two seater sofa inside, two wicker lounge sofas outside, sun loungers and then the more formal dining area with antique table and eight high backed leather chairs, you will be spoilt for choice for where to relax.
For entertainment there is a 20 inch LDC screen and DVD player. Wi-Fi is available.
The open plan kitchen is compact, but again no expense has been spared on the bespoke units, granite worktop and built in fridge freezer, washing machine / tumble dryer, microwave, four ring electric hob and dishwasher. Whether for a formal meal on the antique dining table or causal nibbles on the terrace, you will find everything you need.
About this location
The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region
The Côte d’Azur lies between the mountains peaks of the Alps and the shimmering turquoise Mediterranean. It has been the playground of Europe since the 19th century when it became a popular holiday destination for the rich and famous. It remains to this day, one of the most sought after destinations in France and is ideal for family and group holidays as well as romantic city breaks.
Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. There is plenty to see and do and something to suit all tastes.
With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.
Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible. A day trip to the ski slopes of Auron and Isola 2000 during the winter months is also feasible.
The apartment is seconds away from the famous Rossetti square and the fabulous terrace overlooks the Cathedral St Reparaté. You could not be more in the heart of the Old Town. It is just a few minutes’ walk away from both the Cours Saleya, Promenade des Anglais and beach and the bus stops and tram stop are a mere five minute walk away.
There is also a public car park nearby (from 20-30 euros per day), which is found under the Cours Saleya. A fifteen minute stroll will get you to the Port and the main shopping district in the modern city centre. The main Nice Ville train station is about 25 minutes away by foot or an easy four-stop tram ride.

"LOTS of stairs!!!"
This apartment sits in a very lovely area of Nice. Lots of charm. However, to say that there are five flights of stairs is a downplay of what you have to do to get into this apartment. The stairs are… More
We're sorry you felt we were “stingy” with linens. We have chosen to structure Pebbles so that guests receive one set of linen and towels for their stay (and the price decreases depending on length of stay) and then allow guests to order as many extra linen and towel packages that suit them. This means all guests can have a fresh set of linen and towels daily if they so wish, but for an extra cost of course.
We've had Cathedrale on our books for four years now, and we've never had this soot issue mentioned before, but we'll look into it and see what we can do. Perhaps the restaurant had some sort of fire and this was a one-off.
We do ask guests to bring in the cushions from outside if they want to avoid them getting wet or dirty whilst they are out. We do this to try and make guests stay as comfortable as possible, because even though this is the French Riviera there can be rain which will soak the cushion covers through, or stain them.
The bell tower – we're saddened that you didn't enjoy the ring of it, the apartment was named after it and we think a lot of guests choose to be near something so charming as part of the square below.
We know the stairs are a downside of the apartment, but without them, we couldn't offer the view and terrace and so most of our guests think they are worth it.
We're sorry this wasn't the right apartment for you.

"Beautiful flat with views and terrace - but 81 stairs!"
Probably one of the nicest flats we have stayed in over the years. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated and supplied. The terrace with a view to the cathedral was perfect. Location was central with everything nearby. The only challenge/disadvantage were the 81 stairs !
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what you thought of your holiday in our Cathedrale apartment. We are delighted that you liked the furnishings and location of this wonderful apartment. Unfortunately, building regulations prohibit the installation of a lift, but we have included the stairs in our "What Guests Liked Least" section on our Pebbles Rentals website. We hope you enjoyed your time in Nice, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
