Bedroom:

The luxurious bedroom also looks across to the lush foilage of the Chateau Hill, and a reading desk is cleverly placed to make the most of this relaxing view. The double bed has a plush chocolate chesterfield style headboard, complemented by black bedside tables and wall mounted reading lamps.

For a good night's sleep there are French shutters in addition to lined curtains. Tasteful decoration and artifacts complete the stylish look.

Bathroom:

There are actually two bathrooms in this one bedroom apartment. The main bathroom is ensuite and consists of a bath with overhead shower attachment, a toilet and two wash basins.

The second bathroom is off the living area, and here guests can enjoy a separate shower, wash basin and toilet. Like the rest of the apartment, both bathrooms are tastefully decorated.

Living Area:

The large living area and dining area are open plan, and the space benefits from the fantastic light that streams in from the three 3.60 metre windows that span the room, all with an open view of the Colline du Chateau foliage. The whole room is full of tasteful artwork and decor, including original pieces of local history such as the soldier's helmet on the wall.

There are two large three seater sofas, a large glass coffee table which sits on a monostriped rug, and a gorgeous marble fireplace with flat screen TV above. The TV is equipped with a French cable package (offering an English news channel); a DVD player, a Bowers and Wilkins iPod and iPhone dock, and Wi-Fi are also all provided. For those chilly winter months there is a gas fire to set the mood for a romantic evening in.

The elegant dining area is just off the kitchen and has a white dining table and four covered chairs.

The mezzanine level, with its large chaise longue, is a perfect relaxing space to read or simply enjoy some peace whilst enjoying the view of the Castle Hill.

Kitchen:

The galley kitchen is cleverly designed to make the most of the small space on offer. Principally kitted out in stainless steel, it comes with a four-ring hob, dishwasher, fridge, oven, and microwave. There is also plenty of worktop space, ideal for preparing meals with the tasty local produce.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region

The Côte d’Azur lies between the mountains peaks of the Alps and the shimmering turquoise Mediterranean. It has been the playground of Europe since the 19th century when it became a popular holiday destination for the rich and famous. It remains to this day, one of the most sought after destinations in France and is ideal for family and group holidays as well as romantic city breaks.

Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. There is plenty to see and do and something to suit all tastes.

With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.

Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible. A day trip to the ski slopes of Auron and Isola 2000 during the winter months is also feasible.

"Comfortable property in ideal location next to Nice harbour."

Easy bus ride from airport and then met at propery by pleasant, helpful company rep who provided useful guidance re property and various local attractions. Property spacious and comfortable and had everything needed by us. Only possible drawback to some was busy and noisy road on which building sited. Otherwise location in old building near to harbour and its restaurants and other attractions was ideal. Easy short walk to Nice old town with plenty to see, enjoy and eat! Tram line about ten minutes walk and then quick trip to railway station to visit Monaco, Cannes etc, etc. Buses are plentiful but can be very crowded and their drivers sometimes seem unaware of their passengers the way they drive! Hang on tight! I recommend this property for a good value holiday.

Thank you for your review of our Le Foresta apartment. We love your tips about the public transport as well. We are glad to see that you enjoyed your time in Nice. We hope to see you again soon!
