Located on the first floor of a traditional street in the Old Town of Nice, this apartment is the perfect 'pied à terre' for exploring this vibrant part of town and the famous Cote d'Azur. Exploring the bustling streets of Vieux Nice is a wonderful experience and this apartment is just a few steps from the famous Place Rosetti, with restaurants, cafes and art galleries all in close proximity.
The apartment was completely renovated and redecorated in 2010, with oak flooring and new appliances installed throughout. The American style kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob and fridge/freezer and the new Italian style bathroom features an open shower and modern conveniences. The bedroom has a very comfy double bed and wardrobe storage. WI-FI access is available throughout the apartment and cable TV has recently been installed.
This apartment is available to rent direct from the owner and is looked after by a lovely English speaking couple who will meet you when you arrive and welcome you to Nice. You will also be provided with a complimentary 'insiders guide', with tips on the best restaurants, bars, cultural activities and day trips to help you make the most of your stay in Nice.

The apartment was entirely renovated in 2010, including a new kitchen, bathroom and solid oak flooring throughout.
There is a TV, DVD player (with a selection of English DVDs and cable TV).
WI-FI internet is available throughout the apartment.

Nice is geographically blessed by being situated on the Mediterranean Sea yet offering a mountain backdrop in the form of the Alpes.
It has a temperate climate and enjoys approximately 322 days of sunshine a year making it an ideal holiday destination all year round.
Nice is ideally located for visiting other places on the south coast of France. The glamorous towns of Cannes, St Tropez and Monaco are only a thirty minute train or bus ride away.
Another option is to take a short train journey along the coast to Italy.
Day trips on the ferry to Corsica are also possible from the port of Nice.
The ski resorts of Valberg, Auron and Isola 2000 are located only 80km away with ski buses running daily from the main Bus Station during the ski season.
Nice is a vibrant and diverse city that has something to offer and appeal to everyone.
Nice is a great destination for a relaxing beach holiday but it is also a city of culture with a huge range of museums waiting to be discovered. An added bonus is that the museums now offer free entry.
There are plenty of historical sites to visit such as the Chateau at the heart of Vieux Nice and the roman ruins in Cimiez.
Nice also offers a huge array of retail delights ranging from traditional olive oil shops in the Old Town to streets of designer boutiques such as Rue Paradis which is home to Chanel, Louis Vuitton and many other haute couture names.
The fruit, vegetable and flower market on the Cours Saleya in Vieux Nice is a daily event (except Mondays when it sells Antiques) and is a wonderful opportunity to sample local produce.
Nice has restaurants available to cater for every possible taste and budget ranging from traditional local specialties of socca, pan bagnat, salade nicoise and daube to international gastronomic culinary delights.
One of the reasons Nice is so appealing is its accessibility. There is no need to hire a car because walking around the city is a joy as each area presents different sights and sensations.
Nice has so much to offer at almost any time of day or night, summer or winter, in fact any day of the year and is a city that can be revisited indefinitely without tiring of it.

"Great location, good price, but noisy and bit run down"
We recently stayed in this appartment for a week. It was a great location in the Old Town so short walk from everything, and cheap compared to the hotel prices, but I wouldn't go back. The bed was comfy, the pillows weren't. The bathroom flooded every time we showered. It was very noisy. There was no pack as promissed on arrival, which was fine, and we also only got access to wifi half way through our stay. It was a bit grubby. So unfortunately we were a bit disappointed.

"budget at best; spartan amenities; not for us"
Pros - apt mgr, Alexandra, met us at airport. Very nice couple. excellent service.
Great location. Close to variety of cafes & restaurants. Clean apt.
Cons - bed pillows should be replaced, only 1 set of sheets & 2 bath towels & 1 hand towel. Bedroom very small & wardrobe consisted of a few open shelves & hangers.
Note: 19 stairs from apt to street. 7 or 8 have a railing. narrow, uneven and winding stairwell. no railing on the lower half.
We stayed 2 weeks with no change of linens. great washing machine but no dryer.

"An Amazing Holiday"
We enjoyed staying at this small apartment. It was in the very centre of things, had everything you needed and there was an excellent bus service nearby to the many lovely places in this area. There was plenty happening here, Nice is beautiful and we had lovely weather. We live in a quiet area and found city life a little hectic but overall rated our stay here as very good.

"Excellent place to stay to explore Nice!"
Overall, we were very pleased to stay in this apartment located in Vieux Nice for our 3 week holiday in Spring.
The location is excellent - there are a multitude of cafes / restaurants to choose from at the doorstep; the Cours Selaya is just down the road; there are many local butchers, bakeries, wine shops, etc etc; many art galleries, as well as a multitude of other gift and specialty stores all around the apartment. The beach is only a short walk away, and you can reach most of Nice by foot quite comfortably.
The apartment is very well equipped - we happily cooked meals throughout our stay and did not lack anything in the way of kitchen equipment. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the managers are lovely.
Watch out for the washing machine settings - ensure you use the gentle setting, as the cotton setting will strip your clothes of the colours, or cause colours to run! (our mistake, but be aware). Also, if the shower is turned on full blast is does get a bit backlogged. As the shower has a wonderful large head, it is comfortable to put it on a lighter spray.
The only negative thing I will say is that because of the central location, it is very loud at night - the noise from the outside travels straight into the apartment. We stayed for 3 weeks, and found the noise was the same mid-week/weekend, and it was noisy throughout the whole night. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs!
Overall, a fantastic stay! Highly recommended!

"Charming little apartment in the heart of Old City (Vieux Nice - Vieille Ville)"
Charming little apartment in the heart of Old City (Vieux Nice - Vieille Ville), despite the absence of a dishwashing machine, that was clean, tidy and well equipped in every other way (microwave, kettle, coffee pot, toaster, tableware and glasses, washing machine, TV, DVD player, WiFi router, iron, hairdryer). Good bathroom with an open shower, which means there is no separate shower cabin, but it was quiet convenient. Clean and fresh linen and towels provided. Comfortable bed in a separate little cozy bedroom. A good base to explore excitements of Nice such as Cours Saleya (local market), where we used to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and pastry, local souvenirs. Restaurants were very welcoming and the tastes of the food matched the aromas swirling around the neighbourhood. Supermarket Monoprix was quiet close to the apartment on Pl. Garibaldi, 8-10 min walk. Apartment is ideally situated to take buses to Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Vence (behind pl. Massena, 5-7 min walk). The owner and his manager were very helpful. We were very pleased to stay there during our spring vacation on Cote d'Azur (Feb 28 - Mar 05, 2012).
