La Rade is a well-equipped garden level apartment, stylishly presented and benefiting from reversible air conditioning.

It is situated in the owner's large villa, within large enclosed grounds with private garden and terrace and benefits from lovely views over the Bay of Villefranche.

In a residential area situated on the edge of Mont Boron forest, ideal for jogging or walks, very peaceful, surrounded by villas, just 800m from shops and 30mn by foot from both Nice city centre and Villefranche sur Mer.

A lovely place to relax after a hard day visiting this beautiful area.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

The Cote d'azur stretches along the warmest coastline of France from Provence to the Italian border.
The beaches from pebble to fine sand are well maintained and some 'private' offer extra facilities, bars and restaurants for a whole days comfortable seaside lounging! Gastronomy is at its best catering for some of the most prestigious clients but offering many choices of restaurant all along the coast.

The bustling cities of Cannes and Nice contrast to the small and still authentic perched villages on the hilltops, and other smaller towns offer quiet corners with dotted villas and yet still most interesting town centres alive with artistic history and tradition.

Further north the terraced hillsides lead up into cooler parts and the Alps can be seen towering above. Hiking and walking as well as many watersports on the lakes will be amongst activities here away from the busier coasts.

The Nice / Mont Boron area

PLACES TO VISIT:
Villefranche sur Mer. 2 km. Close to the Italian border, a very attractive historic town and one of the most exclusive spots on the Cote d'Azur. Built on terraces, it overlooks the beautiful bay below. Its superb harbour is known to be one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
Monaco. 15 km. One of the most famous and glamorous cities in the world with its casino at Monte Carlo, F1 Grand Prix each May, tennis tournament and of course its incredible nightlife.
St Paul de Vence. 20 km. One of the most beautiful and most visited villages in France which has attracted many artists due to its great natural beauty. Also home to Fondation Maeght, France’s most important modern art museum with a remarkable collection of paintings, sculptures, drawings and other graphic works from the 20th century.
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. 20 km. Seaside resort with pretty medieval hilltop centre, lovely narrow and winding streets and beautifully restored medieval houses, the lot overlooking Cap Martin.

ACTI-Loisirs, Villefranche sur Mer. 2 km. Half day photo safari cruises in the Mediterranean to discover dolphins and whales.
Zoo Cap Ferrat, St Jean Cap Ferrat. 6 km. Zoo. All types of animals in a unique setting of tropical and Mediterranean vegetation... Bears, crocodiles, lemurs, monkeys, macaws and tigers, and the kids can even stroke the little goats.
Musée Océanographique, Monaco. 15 km. Aquarium/museum. Founded by Prince Albert I, the museum houses skeletons of large marine mammals (whale, etc) as well as a splendid aquarium with rare tropical and Mediterranean species of marine life and a live coral reef from the Red Sea.
Canyon Forest, Villeneuve Loubet. 20 km. Tree top adventure park/Canyoning. Acrobatic adventure park for the young (8 yrs old+) and not so young. Discover at your own pace the 4 trails on offer after an enjoyable 10mn bike ride along a river. Going from tree to tree, balance yourself through an assortment of games such as rope bridges, tarzan swings and giant zip lines, including for the bravest, the longest zip line in France (331m) where you can expect to reach a maximum speed of 70 km/h! Canyoning also available. For the little ones, Pitchoun Forest is a more accessible course for children aged 3 to 10. Larger, more secure and more amusing with an easier access.

FURTHER AFIELD:
Antibes-Juan les Pins. 25 km. Two towns in one! Antibes with its vibrant historic centre with narrow winding streets, a good choice of restaurants, cafés, theatres, piano bars, chic hotels, private clubs and Picasso museum, and Juan les Pins renowned for its gorgeous beaches, exciting nightlife with fashionable night clubs, casino and even night shopping. Also Cap d'Antibes, a small piece of paradise, home to a number of millionaires.
Tourrettes sur Loup. 30 km. Charming hill top medieval village known as the Violet village and surrounded by superb landscapes. Well worth a detour.
Cannes. 40 km. Beachside resort with its large promenade, chic boutiques, restaurants, bars, shops and festivals including the famous Cannes film festival in May each year. A walk along the “Croisette”, harbour and sandy beaches is a must.
Ventimiglia. 45 km. Just across the Italian border, with wonderful views and beaches, and famous for its wonderful covered daily market with a staggering array of fruit, vegetable, fish, meat, cheese and of course pasta! On Friday mornings, it also holds the largest street market in Europe! Quite an experience!
