About the home

This Central Nice apartment is situated in a vibrant area, full of markets and charm, but also very close to more exclusive shopping, Nice Etoile and the Avenue Jean Medecin.

On entering the old style, bourgeois building, you go up a wide flight of stairs to the entrance way, and on entering the apartment the first thing that strikes you are the high ceilings and the light and space.

The living room is straight ahead, and is very tastefully furnished and spacious, with large windows which open up to the street below.

Through some glass doors takes you to the self contained, fully equipped kitchen which also has dining space for 4 people.

The bedroom is large with plenty of space and plenty of storage, and is very attractively set out, again with large windows letting in a lot of light.

The bathroom is small, but very modern and has a large shower.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Cote d’Azur is also known as the French Riviera and is on the Mediterranean coastline of Southern France. The region offers different types of scenic holidays for everyone – from visiting parts of the countryside, or staying near the Mediterranean beachside, or enjoy the breathtaking Alps, you will cherish every part this region has to offer.

The Southern Alps’ offers stupendous resorts that are curtailed to any age group and any ski level. If you want to try something daring, there is diving under ice at the Orcières 1850 ski resort.

Cycling trails can be found throughout the region for those who love to cycle and enjoy riding the scenic route whilst on holiday. The ”Véloroute du Calavon" is one of the famous 18 km trail in the town of Saint Martin de Castillon, that is found to be adventurous and enjoyable.

For the sight-seers, there is the must see historic centre of Avignon, the Roman monuments of Arles, the Roman theatre of Orange and Mont Ventoux.

Museums are renowned in this region and some to see would be the Picasso Museum in Antibes, the Modern Art Museum in Nice, the Fondation Maeght in St. Paul (that is said to be one of the best modern art museums in the area), the Musée Archeologique in Nice and the Musée Océanographique in Monaco.

Don’t forget to see the Nice Opera House and visit the seasonal Jazz festivals that take place along the coast!

The Nice / Central Nice area

Nice itself has so many attractions in the summer that you will certainly find things to do and see everyday of your stay. These include visits to Parc Phoenix with its exotic flora and fauna, attending the International Festival of Piano, concerts in the Abbay of Thoronet, a Joe Cocker concert "Hymm for my Soul" in Cannet, or a variety of international entertainers at the Monte Carlo Sporting Summer Festival. Water sports include canyoning and rafting in the grand canyon of Verdon or Roya valley, sea exploration and diving from the Quai Lunel - Port of Nice, excursions by boat departing from Villefranche or Nice to Monaco, Villefranche, Cannes, and St: Tropez.

There are also numerous tours and guided visits to the small, charming medieval towns of Eze, perched high above the sea, Grasse famous for its perfume factories, Tourettes, the city of the violets, Saint Paul, magnificent medieval village full of artisan workshops and art galleries not to mention Biot renowned place for its glass blowers, Vallauris, the city of ceramics where Picasso created the fresco "War and Peace" and St. Jean Cap Ferrat with its historic Ephrussi de Rothschild villa and gardens. Children will enjoy visiting the Zoo Park in Cap-Ferrat, the Zoological Park in Frejus, Koaland in Menton, Aqualand in Sainte-Maxime and Marineland in Antibes.
