Jacques is a large apartment with luxury fittings throughout and its located just off Nice's main shopping street, Avenue Jean Médecin. The quiet balcony with table and chairs is another plus.

Bedrooms
The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedside drawers, and bedside lights. There is a large wardrobe with mirrored doors. The second bedroom (slightly larger) has twin beds with a large mirrored wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Living Area
The living and kitchen area is open plan with two large red leather sofas that set the tone for stylish holiday living. There is also a flat-screen TV with a French cable package with some English news channels and Wi-Fi, a coffee table and plenty of lamps for mood lighting. This is all complemented by canvasses, contemporary mirrors, rugs and vibrant curtains.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom consists of a bath with shower over, a modern white ceramic wash basin with built in wooden vanity unit, toilet and a built-in mirrored door cupboard. The bathroom is fully tiled in a sandstone effect. There is a shower room with vanity unit and toilet which is en-suite to the twin room and has a similar style to the main bathroom.
Kitchen
The open plan kitchen has white units, some of which conceal an integrated fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is also a fan-assisted oven, a ceramic hob with extractor fan and a microwave.

The Nice / Musicians' Quarter area
Rue Jacques Offenbach is a quiet road just off Avenue Jean Médecin. There is a very large supermarket and all manner of shops and restaurants within an easy five minute stroll. A bakery is less than a minute walk away, as is the tram. The train station and Old Town can be reached in less than five minutes on the Tram.

We loved Jacques and hope to return again. Staying here the week before our Rhone River Cruise (GCT) was the best decision we made. EVERTHNG is within convenient walking distance--train, bus, shopping, eating, live entertainment and all the conveniences one could want. The apartment in the Musiciens district was situated just off the central Rue Jean Medecin with its tram link to other parts of the cities and shops. It was extremely stylish with the feel of a contemporary home rather than a holiday apartment. Excellent for two people with a bathroom each. Might not be so good for older or less able-bodied holidaymakers as there were two fairly long flights of stairs and no lift. Some people might have been slightly worried by the presence on a nearby corner of the groups waiting to attend a centre for recovering drug addicts and alcoholics although there was never any threat from them. We work hard to find the right property for our guests and we try to ensure the positives and negatives of each property (taken from guest feedback) are listed on the testimonials page for each property. On this page for our Jacques apartment, we have listed that there is a social care centre at the end of the street of the Jacques apartment for a couple of years now. As you rightly point out, it could slightly worry some guests but we hope this won't put them off renting it because it really is a lovely property and in four years of renting it we have never experienced any negativity from any guest save for a small few being alarmed when they first arrive. This is why we try our best to warn people before booking on the testimonials page, so guests can be informed whether it is a problem for them or not. We hoped you looked at this before booking and made the decision that this was no issue for you. We're also very pleased for another chance to explain this to guests so that they can decide whether Jacques is the right property for them. We should add that this centre is only open for a couple of hours daily and so there is not a continued presence. |
