Our ground floor apartment is situated in Place St. Clair, Vieux Nice and just minutes away from the Cours Saleya. It is near enough to enjoy the bustling markets, shops, restaurants and bars of the Old Town but far enough away to be a quiet and peaceful haven. The beaches, museums, art galleries and theatres are also close at hand. Where else could you find such a diversity of venues on your doorstep? The apartment is light and airy with white marble floors throughout. The fully furnished double bedroom has a new double bed and the large walk-in cupboard takes care of the storage. Two full sized bunk beds fit neatly in the alcove in the lounge and there is also a sofa bed. The bathroom is fitted to a high standard with a bath/shower, washhand basin and w.c. The American style kitchen with its tiled worktops is fully equipped and has an oven, hob and hood, dishwasher, washing machine drier and refrigerator. A TV/DVD and CD player are there for your entertainment.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
Nice is situated right on the Mediterranean Sea but with a backdrop of the Alps so enjoys a very temperate climate and approximately 322 days of sunshine a year. It is ideally situated to visit the coastal towns of the neighbouring Var Departement and Italy whilst the Mercantour Park area and ski resorts of Isola 2000 and Auron are barely an hour and a half way with ski buses running daily from the Gare Routiere during the season.
Nice / Vieux Nice area
Nice has something to offer all year round. There is the famous Carnival in February, Cannes Film Festival in May, the Monaco Grand Prix, the Jazz Festival in Cimiez in July to name but a few. The Old Town, overlooked by the glorious Chateau Gardens, is full of interest with its daily food markets, a labyrinth of colourful shops, restaurants and bars as well as some of the most famous churches and palaces. The Cours Saleya Flower Market which borders the Sea is open daily with flower, fruit and vegetable stalls as well as bric-a-brac and books. The Nice Opera House is just at the end of the Cours Saleya with a wonderful selection of performances all year round. The art galleries and museums are all within walking distance of our apartment.
How to get there
Fly to Nice and take the local bus to the apartment. There is a regular bus service from both Terminal 1 & 2 at the Airport to the Gare Routiere which is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Cost one way is 4 euros per person and is extremely easy to use.

Further details indoors: There are two flights of steps down to the apartment and the surrounding areas are steep with numerous flights of steps so the apartment is not suitable for elderly or people who are frail. The apartment is ideal for a family with young or teenage children as access is very easy to and from the beach and the centre of the Old Town. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing family meals so there is no reason to have to eat out all the time. The variety of fresh ingredients, meat, fish, pasta, cheese and vegetables in the Old Town is fanastic.
Further details outdoors: The apartment is in a quiet cul-de-sac the steps from which lead up into the Chateau Gardens where there is a fabulous children's playground. Within a short bus/train ride is Marineland with its dolphins, sharks and killer whales. Every family who has gone there is knocked out with it all, especially the children. A short bus ride into neighbouring Villefranche will take you to a sandy beach and shallow water edges in one of the prettiest of the Cote d'Azur seaside towns. Snorkelling here is magic.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. Electricity, water charges, end of holiday clean and laundered linen and towels are all included in the above prices. Availability is all year round and changeover day is normally Saturday but we can be flexible about this. We do not normally take short breaks in July and August but can offer these at other times at 75% of the weekly rate. We only accept Visa or Mastercard which is taken via our own credit card machine. We meet you with the keys and talk you through the flat as we are resident in Nice.
