Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 3
The thing people love most about Santa Lucia is that feeling when you first arrive that you are really on holiday. That feeling stays with you all through your vacation.
Of course, what sets it apart, is its fabulous location and lovely aspect. In the very heart of Old Nice, Santa Lucia is just one minutes walk from Place Rosetti, 2 minutes from the famous Cours Saleya and just 3 minutes from the beach.
Being on the second floor in the old town, it has the advantage of not having to climb too many flights of stairs, but still being high enough to get lots of light through the 2 large windows.
Sitting beside the lounge window offers a lovely view towards Place Rosetti and its magnificent church in one direction and wonderful old town buildings and charming narrow streets in the other. At night you can again sit under the window, perhaps enjoying a glass of locally produced rosé wine, whilst listening to the chatter in the street below. Or if you want perfect peace, just close the original shutters and double glazed windows and the chatter fades away.
Located in an authentic Nicois building, Santa Lucia with it's high ceilings is light and airy. The apartment has been lovingly renovated in a fresh style whilst keeping as many of its original features as possible. The marble fireplace, tomette floors, doors, shutters and painted beams are all original leaving the apartment bursting with character. Equally the owners have installed all modern amenities you would expect including a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom as well as a technology centre with TV, DVD, HIFI and IPOD docking station, telephone (incoming calls only) as well as free, unlimited Wi-Fi internet access.
We are sure you will enjoy your stay in Santa Lucia and want to come back again and again.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region
Bordering Italy, Provence is a varied region with stunning natural scenery. The Côte d’Azur lies between the mountains peaks of the Alps and the shimmering turquoise Mediterranean. It has been the playground of Europe since the 19th century when it became a popular holiday destination for the rich and famous. It remains to this day, one of the most sought after destinations in France and is ideal for family and group holidays as well as romantic city breaks.
Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. From the hilltop villages to the glitzy resorts of the Cote d'Azur there really is something for everyone. You could never tire of the stunning baroque architecture, winding alleyways, the markets with fresh local produce and swimming in the Azur sea. Nice is the perfect base to explore the region with excellent transport links.
With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.
Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible. A day trip to the ski slopes of Auron and Isola 2000 during the winter months is also feasible.
Vieux Nice (The Old Town) is a maze of alleyways opening out onto sunny squares with open air restaurants, ice cream shops and craft shops selling Provencal fabrics.
The Cours Saleya is a treat for the senses, a bustling farmers market by morning where you can sample the honey, goats cheese, olive oil crafted by local artisans. By night the market makes way for restaurants and bars serving local mouth watering local specialties.
You are never far from the beach in the Old Town or the Château where you can enjoy stunning views of the coast. Nice is a year round destination with Christmas markets and fabulous shopping, jazz festivals, Nice Carnival and concerts.

"Fantastic apartment, location and vibe"
If you are looking around and are having trouble trying to decide which apartment to take then this one is great! It's very authentic, with a little restaurant on your doorstep. It is a busy and central location, but the double glazed windows block out all sound. We had such fun walking the streets of the old town and eating so much amazing food!
A couple of tips: taxis will not drop in this area as the streets are too small for cars to access so be prepared to walk with luggage (bring a map!). Secondly, the price of the apartment does not include linen - that you have to hire. Lastly, the apartment has some 'quirks' in the form of strange building and handyman designs but in our opinion these only added charachter! - we will be back!
