This apartment is situated on the 3rd floor of a beautiful residence built in 2009 with landscaped gardens, access is by either lift or stairs.
The property lies in a prestigious residential area on the border of the 'Musiciens' and 'Carre d’Or ' Quartiers. Although extremely centrally located, there is no traffic noise as the building is set back from the leafy Boulevard Victor Hugo, the only sounds are those of children playing at the nearby primary school during the day in term time.
The apartment benefits from an ideal location, just 3 minutes away from the tramway and center of town, a short 5 minute stroll to the beaches and approximately 10 minutes walk to the main train station. A large selection of cafés, bars and restaurants, together with a boulangerie and many other shops can be found close by. The entrance to the building is beside the luxury Exedra Hotel and Day Spa where you can indulge in a day of pampering!

The interior is contemporary in design, fully tiled throughout and consists of a spacious open plan living area and kitchen leading out on to a large terrace which runs the entire length of the apartment.
The bedroom, situated off the living area, also has direct access on to the terrace. The shower room is beside the bedroom, while the separate WC is located off the entrance hall.
All items of furniture and equipment are brand new and the apartment is tastefully decorated in keeping with the contemporary style of the building. It is fully air conditioned by a reverse cycle air-conditioning / heating system.
The living area contains a sofa, which pulls out to make a comfortable double bed, coffee table and wall unit which houses a cable flat screen TV with some English news channels, a DVD, a stereo radio/CD which has an iPod/MP3 connection. Free high speed Wi fi internet connection is also available. There are large glass doors with an electrically operated blind that leads out onto the balcony.
The modern kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, toaster and kettle . There is a breakfast bar with 3 stools for indoor dining.
The bedroom consists of 2 single beds which can be joined to make a double, bedside table with reading lamp and generous wardrobe space. A glass door with electrically operated blind leads out to the balcony.
The shower room has an overhead shower, vanity unit with storage cupboards, heated towel rail and large mirror. The toilet is separate.

The covered balcony provides a great extension to the main living area and is the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
There are four very comfortable armchairs with cushions and a table for dining alfresco. With exterior lighting and total peace in the evenings, it is hard to believe that you truly are in the center of town!
The exterior covered terrace is ideal for al fresco dining, sitting back and reading a book or just relaxing and enjoying a glass of French wine at the end of a busy day exploring!
Our local English/French speaking representative will meet you on arrival at the apartment, explain the facilities and give you the keys. They can also arrange to purchase some basic provisions for you should you require.
Linen packs are available, paid locally, or you can bring your own.
End of stay cleaning is included in the rental price
Changeover day is flexible.
Departures by 10am and Arrivals between 4 - 11pm at the latest.
Surcharge applies for late apartment arrivals from 8.30pm onwards.

Agreeably named, Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a city that stays alive and active all year round. There is plenty to see and do and something to suit all tastes.
With approximately 300 days of sunshine, it is renowned for its long hot summers and cooling sea breezes which help to maintain a pleasant temperature.
Beautifully situated, between Cannes and Menton, Nice offers easy access by train or bus allowing you to explore many other interesting towns along this famous coastline. Day trips to Monaco, Italy and some of the surrounding hilltop Provençal villages are all possible. A day trip to the ski slopes of Auron and Isola 2000 during the winter months is also feasible.
Situated in the prestigious 'Quartier Musiciens' the apartment is perfectly located for easy access to the beaches on the Promenade, the main train station and the bustling shops on Jean Médecin - all of which are within a short stroll.
This quiet residential area named after famous musicians, such as Mozart and Verdi, is filled with authentic turn of the century buildings and wide boulevards, a delight to walk around and explore.
The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Promenade were you can relax and soak up the sun or spend a leisurely breakfast or lunch at one of the many seaside restaurants. There are luxury sun loungers and parasols for hire on the beach where you can soak up the sun or try some of the water sports available during the summer months.
The pedestrian area of rue de France with its many street cafes and the main shopping street of Nice, Jean Medecin are close by (5 minutes walk). Meander through the enchanting old town (only a 10 mins stroll) with its typical French market in the Cours Saleya and interesting shops selling all manner of local produce and Provençal gifts.
For those whose interests lie particularly in culture, explore the many museums and art galleries in town including the Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum and the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art.

Great location, near train station which served as departure point for Riviera sightseeing. Walking distance to most local sites of interest. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well provisioned. Kate was very organized in a personal orientation and with her "Bible" containing useful info for use in the apartment and for tourism. I was not thrilled with costly and inconvenient prepaid wire transfers rather than use of credit card was a negative. Washing machine not great, particularly the drying function. Otherwise we would give this property a strong recommendation. N. Axelrad

"great place to stay in Nice"
A really great place to stay in Nice, ideally situated and very well furnished and equipped.
It was our second visit to Cantique and every time we had a great holiday.
Besides the quality of the apartment and the charm of the city and surroundings, we have to mention the professional services of Kate Muriel, who provide us all the information we need for a complete experience of French Riviera.
We will definitely return.

"Great apartment in lovely Nice"
In June 2012 we made our third visit to Nice, staying at the charming 'Cantique' apartment on a self catering basis. We were met at the apartment by the lovely Kate of 'ServiceRiviera' who, yet again, was welcoming, very helpful and enthusiastic in offering quality information about the rich cultural, geographical and social aspects of Nice and the surrounding area. The apartment is ideally suited to couples who appreciate peace and quiet, but appreciate the diversity of a vibrant, relaxed city atmosphere. It is situated in a locked and gated block of apartments just back from the lovely boulevard Hugo. It is well designed, equipped with all you could need, and is tastefully and simply furnished. It has a large balcony that extends across the living room and bedroom and helps relate a nice sense of 'space.' It is immaculately presented and very clean, and we were impressed with the attention to small detail such as quality bed linen, free wi-fi and even beach equipment.
The apartment is ideally situated being equidistant from buses,trains and beach which are only a ten minute walk away, though you can catch a modern tram within a few minutes on the impressive Boulevard Medicin. Restaurants, bakeries and shops are minutes away.
Nice is a lovely place with a rich and diverse cultural history, yet simultaneously vibrant, with a relaxed nod to modernity. You can take a bus ride along the coast to Menton (on the Italian border), or Monacco, Cannes, Antibes and a host of charming sea-side villages for the princely sum of one Euro! Alternatively you can escape into the hills and mountains where the landscape can be breathtakingly beautiful.
The weather was hot when we were there, so it was always a real pleasure , after the heat and events of the day, to open the door of the apartment and feel refreshed by the excellent air conditioning. So, all in all, another lovely stay in both the city and the apartment. We look forward to returning next year.
One final thing: we would like to express our thanks to both Kate and Mr and Mrs Mulligan (the owners) for their sympathetic and kind actions when we encountered a personal problem that affected an earlier booking. It is refreshing to know that, although 'letting' is a business, human beings come first, and the quality of care and thought offered was greatly appreciated. Thank you

"Great location & lovely apartment"
We stayed here in May 2012 and found it to be a great apartment. The bedroom is a little small but sufficient. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are about 3 English TV channels which were handy… More
