The architecture and internal décor is typical of the French town living style and the apartment contains many charming original features dating from the 1930s. The apartment benefits from a very convenient location just eight minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the same distance to Nice's main train station for connections along the Côte d'Azur. The French Riviera - Cote d'Azur region
Whatever the purpose of your visit or the length of your stay there is plenty to see and do in Nice and the Côte d'Azur. Along the coast Cannes, Monte Carlo and St Tropez are just some of the world famous resorts which speak for themselves. All can be easily reached within 30 minutes by train from the main railway station on Avenue Thiers, just eight minutes walk from the apartment.
Inland are picturesque villages such as Eze with its botanical gardens and Mediterranean views; Grasse famous for its perfumeries and Saint-Paul-de-Vence for its art galleries and cemetry, where artist Marc Chagall is buried. All can be reached by coach from the main bus station, the "Gare routière" on Promenade du Paillon, 15 minutes walk from the apartment.
For guests with a little more time or those looking for something a little different, there are a number of lesser known off the beaten track destinations and activities. Examples include a visit to the Iles de Lérins, a small unspoilt archipelago just off the coast of Cannes, perfect for walkers, or a trip on the Train des Pignes, "taking the slow train" into the mountains and villages behind Nice.
As well as being a beautifully situated coastal resort, Nice has all the cultural attractions of a large town and boasts the greatest number of museums and galleries outside Paris. To help all guests plan their visit whatever its purpose, the owners have left maps and leaflets from the Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau to be given to you upon arrival. Please request them from the keyholder if necessary.
The Bureau's web site can be consulted in advance of your visit at http://www.nicetourism.com/GB/som.html. Here you can find information and links to all Nice's museums, galleries, sites and gardens with lots of practical information on transport, restaurants and how to plan your trip.
The site includes similar information on the towns, villages and tourist sites surrounding Nice with many useful links.

"Nice flat, but very hot with no air conditioning, and very noisy"
This is an attractive and spacious flat. If you come in the height of summer however, you should be aware that there is no air conditioning. As a result, any temperature over about 30 during the day makes it very stuffy at night. You are forced to keep all windows open to get anywhere near comfortable. But on Rue Verdi there are vehicles all night, and street cleaning into early morning. We didn't get too much sleep as a result. In other respects, the flat was fine - decent facilities, very good location near the centre and beach, and in good condition.
Thanks you for your review. We are sorry that it was too hot at night. While there is no air conditioning, the flat has air flow front to back ("traversant"). We are adding some more fans that should prevent this issue recurring. Jonathan & Alison

"Sehr schönes Apartement mitten in Nizza"
Hafen) schnell erreichbar.
danke schoen - Many thanks for your lovely review!

"Everything you need in a central location in an apartment with character"
Lovely apartment in central Nice with everything you need within walking distance from city sights, beach, buses and train station. Apartment is well equipped with local shops and cafes in streets round about to buy food and necessities. We've been back now several times and really appreciate being able to use the flat as a base for exploring the Cote d'Azur without needing to hire a car due to its central location.
Many thanks for the review. Best wishes Jon & Alison

We stayed 5 days in the apartment. The apartment is very modern. Large kitchen, lots of sleeping possibilities. The location is very central. You can reach everything in 5 to 10 minutes. So we had a lot of fun and can recommend the apartment.
Thank you for your positive review!

"Excellent location, responsive owner/manager"
From the initial enquiry the response was quick and clear. Very easy payment through the site and immediate response from the owners and their managing agent. The apartment is traditional so not modern but everything works. You can hear the street noise from the front bedroom but it is not a busy street so does not cause too much concern. The bar across the road is delightful and the little supermarket around the corner is perfect for getting the freshly baked bread and croissants for breakfast. The best thing though is the location. We came on the bus from the airport to the station and a 10 minute walk (downhill) found us at the apartment. We could walk everywhere, to the shops, the promenade and the old town. It doesn't have the all the mods and cons but this apartment is comfortable and good value for money and I happily recommend it and hope to return myself.
Thank you for your comprehensive review. We are pleased you had an enjoyable stay and look forward to having you back.
