Home description

Discover Nice Apartment is an attractive and spacious town apartment in the pleasant "Quartier Musiciens" area of central Nice. It is on the ground floor of an elegant bourgeois building, and is 'traversant'. The architecture and internal décor is typical of the French town living style and the apartment contains many charming original features dating from the 1930s. The apartment benefits from a very convenient location just eight minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the same distance to Nice's main train station for connections along the Côte d'Azur. The main shopping area and restaurants are also within 10 minutes walk, with supermarkets (CocciMarket is 2 mins away) and bakeries in the immediate vicinity.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Whatever the purpose of your visit or the length of your stay there is plenty to see and do in Nice and the Côte d'Azur. Along the coast Cannes, Monte Carlo and St Tropez are just some of the world famous resorts which speak for themselves. All can be easily reached within 30 minutes by train from the main railway station on Avenue Thiers, just eight minutes walk from the apartment.

Inland are picturesque villages such as Eze with its botanical gardens and Mediterranean views; Grasse famous for its perfumeries and Saint-Paul-de-Vence for its art galleries and cemetry, where artist Marc Chagall is buried. All can be reached by coach from the main bus station, the "Gare routière" on Promenade du Paillon, 15 minutes walk from the apartment.

For guests with a little more time or those looking for something a little different, there are a number of lesser known off the beaten track destinations and activities. Examples include a visit to the Iles de Lérins, a small unspoilt archipelago just off the coast of Cannes, perfect for walkers, or a trip on the Train des Pignes, "taking the slow train" into the mountains and villages behind Nice.


Nice / Musicians' Quarter area

As well as being a beautifully situated coastal resort, Nice has all the cultural attractions of a large town and boasts the greatest number of museums and galleries outside Paris. To help all guests plan their visit whatever its purpose, the owners have left maps and leaflets from the Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau to be given to you upon arrival. Please request them from the keyholder if necessary.

The above prices are fully inclusive of cleaning, laundry and utilities charges.
Discounts apply to bookings of more than two weeks in length and late bookings made less than one month before date of commencement.
Saturday commencement dates are preferred although flexibility is possible.
It is also possible to take short breaks at negotiated rates.
A refundable security deposit of 100 Euros is payable to the keyholder on arrival.
A charge of 15 Euros applies to those requiring key collection after 20.00.

Terms and Conditions

Bookings

The Party Leader on the booking form must be a member of the party intending to occupy the apartment and must be over 21 years old.
Provisional bookings will be held for 72 hours pending receipt of deposit and booking form.
Bookings may commence and end on any day of the week.
Payment

Payment of 30% of the total is due at the time of booking. The balance is due no less than 8 weeks before the day of arrival at the property.
For bookings made within 8 weeks of the day of arrival at the property, full payment is due with guest's confirmation of booking.
Fees and deposits

A security deposit of 100 Euros is payable on arrival to the keyholder. This will be refunded to guests at the time of departure. Deductions will be made accordingly in the case of any breakages and/or key loss.
Weekly rental charges include towel and linen hire and cleaning.
Arrival and departure times

Key Collection is from 15.00 onwards. Departure is before 11.30. These times may be changed subject to prior arrangement with the owner.
A charge of 15 Euros applies for those requiring key collection after 20.00. This can be paid to the keyholder in Euros on arrival or an additional £10 may be added to the rental fee if the arrival time is known at the time of booking.
Insurance

All guests are required to take out adequate travel insurance to cover the period of their stay at the apartment.
Cancellation

In the event of cancellation the following cancellation charges apply. If the guest notifies the owner:
More than 8 weeks before commencement of the booking, deposit only.
Less than 8 weeks before commencement of the booking, 40% of the total booking fee.
Less than 6 weeks before commencement of the booking, 50% of the total booking fee.
Less than 4 weeks before commencement of the booking, 75% of the total booking fee.
Less than 2 weeks before commencement of the booking, 100% of the total booking fee.
Cancellations must be made by the Party Leader and confirmed by letter, fax or e-mail by the same person.
