Port Nicea is a group of apartments built in 2002 in the port area of Nice. The blocks are built around two courtyards, one with fountains and the other with palm and orange trees. Our spacious one bedroom apartment is north west facing with sliding windows from the lounge and bedroom onto a cool summer balcony overlooking a large and quiet courtyard. The balcony has tables and chairs making it a great place to eat from May to October.
The apartment is situated on the second floor with roomy lift and stair access.
We can offer you a very well equipped kitchen as we love cooking, including full sized cooker, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. The lounge, dining and kitchen are open plan with two sofas and full size dining table. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and a bed settee in the lounge. There is also Wifi, French TV, DVD player and an MP3/Ipod docking station plus wifi internet radio for your use but please don't play Jimmy Hendrix at 2am, thanks! The bathroom has an over the bath shower and vanity basin etc. The apartment has electric radiators for the cooler winter months.
The Port of Nice and Place Garibaldi are two minutes walk from the apartment and just five minutes walk to the Old Town of Nice. There are plenty of shops in the area for buying fresh local produce and a hypermarket ten minutes away. The port itself leads along to the beach and has a ferry service to Corsica and Sardinia and a local service, west to St Tropez and east to Monaco. It is also a haven for large luxury yachts. The main bus station, tram and rail networks are within easy reach.

The apartment can sleep 2 people in the main bedroom and one other person on the sofa bed. The accommodation is ideal for two friends who wish to sleep separately or a couple with maybe a friend or family member staying over. Please note there is a charge for the linen/towels for the sofabed.
We have a cot available for hire if you wish to bring a non-mobile baby. Otherwise we welcome children over 5 years of age.

The Terrace is sunny for breakfast but shady for the remainder of the day ensuring a cooler apartment in those very hot months of summer. There is a small table and chairs for breakfast and a larger table for dining al fresco.
There is NO private PARKING available with this property. There are street places which are payable but difficult to find in this busy city. We therefore do not recommend coming to Nice by car - public transport is efficient and very cheap.
Please note this is a quiet residential building and noise nuisance rules should be observed after 10pm at night.

Nice is known for its hot summers and mild sunny days in the winter. Be seduced by the amazing architecture , the aqua marine sea and wonderful restaurants that make this an ever popular spot for tourists. The airport is virtually on top of the city so no time is wasted. You can use the very versatile and inexpensive public transport to explore Monaco, Cannes, medieval villages and the mountains beyond. You can walk in the Mercantour National Park in the summers to get away from the Coastal heat or just bronze on a beach and take lunch by the waves. You can also ski in the winter where the Alps guarantee you beautiful snow.
The port has its own busy local community which sets it apart from the main shopping area of Nice. Its a maize of little shops and restaurants all leading down to the waterfront where you can eat out and admire the yachts and luxury cruisers. The adjoining Antiques area offers the most exclusive shops but also the popular flea market for those looking for a bargain. The antiques market is every Monday in the Cours Saleya. Be prepared to fall in love with the ambiance and variety of this special area.

"Great apartment, perfect location"
We just loved staying here. It is so close to all that Nice (and environs) has to offer. It is ideally located between the Port and Old Town so it is only a couple of blocks from two of the nicest a… More
Despite the winter rains, you managed to be cheerful, great guests and we were very happy to have accommodated you. The good thing about being in the port is that its buzzy and most facilities are close by if you want to run out to the shops or a local restaurant in bad weather.

It seems you found your heaven! We are pleased you loved Nice so much (we do too) and that our apartment suited you so well. Good news about the restaurants too as even though a tourist area, we feel the standards are kept high for the many local people who eat out. We are pleased you found the transport so convenient. With close proximity to trams and buses, walking is not the only option. The tram also forms a direct link to the main train station. Exciting new bars and restaurants have recently opened up within a few minutes stroll from the apartment and there are plenty of food shops to pop into. The port of Nice is a great area to use as a base when exploring Nice and its environs.

We have stayed in Nice many times and know the Port area well. This apartment is in a great location if you want to be near to the Old Town and the beach, but also be in an area where the locals live… More
Indeed an advantage for you that you knew the area and we are pleased you found our accommodation within the quartier. Good to hear that you found the fans sufficient. The advantage is that the terrace is shady so the sun does not heat up the apartment during the day. There is heating for the winter too.

Thank you also for being such great guests! I am glad you felt so comfortable in the apartment and that the furnishings etc. all helped to make your stay comfortable. We felt too that the terrace is a big bonus being able to have dinner at a proper sized table and a quiet courtyard to look over rather than a noisy street. "Home from Home in the sunshine!"
This is a most comfortable apartment with sofas, fabulous bed and fully fitted kitchen. It was spotlessly clean and the wlecome basket was indeed most welcome (especially the wine!)
Jane made us very welcome and was on-hand for any queries which was great. The kitchen facilities meant that eating in was a real option and we had dinner several times on the balcony in the cool of the evening. The balcony is shady most of the day and is great when the weather is hot. The location was ideal for the old town and harbour and yet quiet at night. We had a fabulous holiday and would use it again, we appreciated that we could rent for a split week - we had 11 days - still not long enough!
