This brand, new. 1 bed apartment is located on the 2nd floor of an extremely attractive domed Residence within The Beal - a prestigious new development area in the heart of town. Cagnes-sur-mer is known as "3 Towns in One "since it consists of Cros-de-Cagnes - a seaside resort and old fishing village, the modern town centre with smart shops and indoor market and Haut-de-Cagnes - the historic medieval town perched above.
The large, sunny, south facing balcony overlooks the swimming pool and garden of the Residence. There are 3 doors out on to the balcony - making the apartment extremely light and airy, but if the summer sun gets too much there is built in air conditioning in the lounge, kitchen and bedroom.
The apartment is easily accessed by lift and there is underground parking available in a secure garage area.

You are ideally placed in the geographic heart of the French Riviera. Along the coast to the east discover the exciting city of Nice (stroll along the Promenade des Anglais or visit the art museums), the exclusive St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (where you can visit the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild), Monte Carlo (with the excellent museums of old Monaco and the excitement of the Grand Prix), Menton (the home of the lemon) and on into Italy.
To the west along the coast explore Antibes (with its picturesque old town and harbour of millionaires' yachts), Cannes (with its Palais des Festivals, pavement of stars' handprints and palatial hotels) and St Raphael (where the cliffs turn to a magnificent red).
Inland, you are a short distance from both Vence and St-Paul-de-Vence (as classic perched medieval village built on a rocky outcrop behind the coast). Also worth visiting is Grasse (the home of the perfume trade).
In winter, skiing is good at Valberg - less than an hour's drive up into the mountains behind Nice
Nice / Cagnes Sur Mer area
The old town - Haut-de-Cagnes is a delight. It is a maze of small, steep, pebble paved streets, vaulted passageways, steps lined with pots of exotic flowers and sudden views across to the sea. There are artists' studios and quaint houses and the town is crowned by the Chateau Grimaldi - one of the finest specimens of a medieval stronghold in this part of France. The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Protection contains some beautiful frescoes dating back to the 1500s and affords a wide view south over Cagnes-sur-mer and the Mediterranean.
Renoir spent the last 12 years of his live in Cagnes and his house at Les Collettes, surrounded by olive and citrus trees is a wonderful place to visit. Inside is the Musee Renoir including his 2 studios and 10 original paintings.
The Cros-de-Cagnes is a mixture of the old and new, side by side. The old fishing port still operates small boats out from opposite the ochre coloured fishermen's church. Meanwhile the water sports can be enjoyed all year round including windsurfing, water skiing, diving, and sailing. There are many beach side restaurants.
Cagnes is renowned for its flower production and has an annual Flower-Expo in April. There is also medieval jousting, a festival of the sea, a chestnut festival, a country fair, a programme of theatrical events and concerts.
How to get there
-Nice airport is less than 5 kms away from the apartment. Nice is served by Easyjet.co.uk, British Airways, Air France, bmi, bmibaby, Jet2 and FlyGlobespan -The apartment is located centrally within the town of Cagnes-sur-mer. There is a bus stop directly outside the Residence, the main bus terminal and the train station are a short walk away. Bus numbers 200 and 400 connect directly with Nice Airport -There is cheap car hire at the airport with all major car hire firms, easily booked at www.holidayautos.co.uk -Eurostar train services from London Waterloo connect with fast TGV services at Lille, direct to Cagnes-sur-mer

A granite dining table seating up to 5 is indoors or enjoy your meals on the large balcony (table, 4 chairs, parasol, and 2 sun loungers provided).
The large living room has 2 French click clacks (sofa beds with very good mattresses), coffee tables, tv, DVD and hi-fi.
The airy bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobe and bedside tables. There is plenty of room for luggage.
The bathroom has a bath with mixer shower tap and is fully tiled, with a built in vanity unit and heated towel rail.
Further details outdoors: Underground parking is extremely secure, with a lift directly up to the apartment.
All shops are within easy walking distance, including bakery, pharmacy, large supermarket, meat and local produce market and tourist office.
All means of public transport are very easily accessed on foot and there is a regular free shuttle bus running up to the old town.
There are all forms of water sports available on the beach and the very wide promenade is particularly popular. Excellent fish restaurants abound.
The smart horse racing course on the sea front is the second largest race course in France.
