About the home

Avalon is less than a 2 minute walk to the Shaw Theatres, fine shops, the lake, golf course and world class dining. It features a heated private pool, 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and two fireplaces.

This charming house which has been tastefully restored, is partially covered in Trumpet Vine and English roses. It has been beautifully furnished and features hand knotted area rugs and many antiques from the area.

kitchen, 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a heated pool.
The two large bedrooms upstairs have en suite baths.

There are original wide plank pine floors throughout the home and
exposed wooden beams dating back to when the
house was built in 1820. Although full of original charm,
respecting the homes history, it is well equipped with all modern
amenities such as wireless internet access, iPod docking station with CD sound system,
washer and dryer,
dishwasher, central air conditioning, jacuzzi tub and 2 fireplaces.
The house is approximately 2500 square feet.

The Ontario region

Set by the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, historic Niagara-on-the-Lake captures attention with its Georgian and Victorian-styled buildings, waterfront park and surrounding fields of grapevines. The town was once the capital of Ontario, and home to a strong military presence and a busy port. Fort George National Historic Site was the military stand post of the British, and has been completely reconstructed, with costumed actors performing throughout the site. The Laura Secord Homestead is the celebrated home of the War of 1812 heroine, and visitors can look through the two storey refurbished cottage.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake area

Besides window shopping and dining in Olde Town, thousands come to Niagara-on-the-Lake for the well-known Shaw Festival Theatre, one of Canadas premier theatre festivals that generally run from April until December. Wineries are also very abundant in the area, and most offer tours and tastings. There are over 125 wineries in the area and amny offer dining right in the vineyard. For those who favour the fresh air, a sopping wet tour of the area on a jet boat tour may be on the agenda (dry options are also available) or a bike tour along the scenic trails. Niagara Falls is 15 minutes by car and Toronto is one hour and 15 minutes away.
Niagara-on-the-Lake has been named "Canada's Prettiest Town".
