About this location

The County Fermanagh region

This is one of four houses located in a small exclusive development, 2 miles from Newtownbutler, 6 miles from Lisnaskea and on the shores of Upper Lough Erne. It comes with access to a private jetty and is a peaceful and relaxing area. Nearby is the Crom Estate where you can enjoy woodland walks, nature trails and bird watching. The lively hubs of Cavan and Enniskillen are both short distances away and offer a good mix of pubs, eateries and shops.

Shop. Pub. Restaurant 3 miles. Beach 50 miles.

Newtownbutler

Newtownbutler is a well-established village in the southeast corner of the County, close to the border with Monaghan and the town of Clones. The village is very rural in character and surrounded by small lakes and bogland. Whilst this proves to be a fisherman?s paradise, it was, famously, the undoing of some of the Jacobite forces in 1689. A Williamite force of less than 1000 Enniskillen troops captured and killed 3000 of James II?s troops here after they had got lost in the anonymous and unmarked bog.

Owner has installed solar panels so there is constant hot water in this property.

Fishing - Lake on site. Walking ? miles. Traditional Music 2 miles. Horse riding, Golf 10 miles.
