Set in four acres of beautiful gardens and paddocks the cottages provide convivial and cosy accommodation. Each cottage has its own gardens, as well as shared use of the spacious games room, a children's playground including swing and climbing frame, and the tennis court. Children can also feed and pet the owner's sheep, chickens and ponies, and guests are free to enjoy the owner's formal gardens, with their great array of trees, plants, and abundant wildlife in the woodland and pond. The two pretty cottages can accommodate up to nine people together, and also make the ideal base for a couple or family. The property has been extensively renovated and refurbished to offer charming, well equipped accommodation in what was originally the chauffeur’s cottage. There are some lovely original features such as fireplaces in the bedrooms and sitting room, and a wood burner provides a warm and cosy atmosphere in the dining room. The large sash and bay windows create a light, airy and spacious environment, whether you stay in summer or winter.

The pretty Vale of Kerry in Mid Wales, close to the Shropshire borders, is in a beautifully scenic and historic region known as The Marches. It’s home to the little village of Kerry with its traditional village shop and pubs (one also has a restaurant). The Marches is famous as a popular choice for mountain bikers and walkers who come to enjoy the Kerry Ridgeway – a moderate 15 mile hill route with spectacular panoramic views ranging up to 70 miles on clear days.

The bathroom has a bath with hand shower, basin and WC, and there is a separate shower room with large shower, basin and WC. The dining room has oak flooring and a wood burning stove, and the sitting room has oak flooring, an Edwardian feature fireplace and bay window that overlook the garden. There is a fitted kitchen and shared utility room (shared with 2792). Amenities Full oil central heating, with wood burner in dining room. Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, shared use of freezer & washing machine in utility room, flat screen colour TV with Freeview digital, DVD player.

All fuel, power & starter pack for the wood burner is included in the rent, and extra wood can be purchased from the owner. Bed linen and towels are also included in the rent. There is shared use of the games room (above the stables) with pool table, table tennis and table football.
Conditions
Sorry, no smoking. Two well behaved dogs are welcome downstairs by agreement with the owner at a charge of £15 (for 1 or 2 dogs. Kennels available FOC). Please check with Sykes Cottages that the breed/size of the particular dog(s) in question is ok. The following breeds are not permitted: St Bernard Leonberger, Rottweiller, Mastiff, Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Bernese Mountain Dog or Great Dane. ALSO, dogs must be over 9 months of age, have up-to-date vaccines and have been treated for worms & fleas within 4 weeks of the end date of the holiday (owners will ask for evidence of last two on arrival). If dogs do not comply with these rules they cannot enter property although option of staying in owners’ kennels if available. Owner is a vet so could administer treatment etc at additional cost by arrangement.
