Home description

The Beeches lodge is a situated within the grounds of the Hall in the quiet village of Bettws Cedewain near Newtown, Powys. There are eight spacious bedrooms in the lodge, together with a large dining room and adjacent sitting room. A large and fully fitted kitchen enables guests to prepare culinary delights or alternatively, when available, our chef can prepared them for you!

The lodge, which was recently converted, has been very sympathetically renovated using selected Montgomeryshire Oak from our own estate. The oak beams, floors and a grand oak staircase together with the light decoration create light, airy and luxurious accommodation within an old medieval barn.

All in all, it is the ideal venue for a family reunion, small conferences or celebration of any kind.

The Beeches Lodge has a wonderful sitting room with an array of luxury sofas and chairs surrounding the wood burner in the inglenook. The grand staircase, elegant curtains and oak furniture complete the room.

Attached to the sitting rooms is the dining room where there is a table, large enough to seat 16 quite comfortably. The oak floorboards and beamed ceiling fill the room with character and make it the perfect social place for lunch and dinner.

The fully fitted kitchen in the Beeches also has a table to seat six, ideal for breakfast or children’s high teas. It comes with all usual mod cons, including a gas oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, hostess trolley and a high chair. There is also access to a washing machine should you require it.

The well appointed kitchen is ready for any enthusiastic chef to take the helm during a summer self catering holiday. However, if the thought of slaving over the stove sounds like too much hard work, then our resident chef would be delighted to step in! Morning, noon and night the finest local ingredients are used, creating memorable meals for all your family and friends.

Further details outdoors:
A large shingled courtyard with fountain and raised lawns are the perfect place for a summer’s barbecue. Or perhaps a picnic down by the lake where there are tables and chairs available for guests to use. The well large maintained and beautifully mown grounds are shared with the Willows, Cherry Tree Cottage and Bettws Hall. There is also ample parking available adjacent to the lodge

However, because of the lake and riverside location please ensure that all young children are always supervised when outside.
