The Scottish Highlands region

The Scottish Highlands is one of the most beautiful places in the World to visit. With mountains, rivers, lochs, culture, castles, distilleries, wildlife, unspoilt beaches and places of solitude as well as great Highland Hospitality there is something for everyone.

Set within the Cairngorms National Park but away from the noisier bigger towns Newtonmore is surrounded by fantastic scenery and being only a couple of miles away from the geographical centre of Scotland is ideally placed for seeing all corners of the country. Newtonmore is an ideal location to be based whether you are coming for sightseeing, activities or a relaxing family holiday. With excellent public transport links and plenty to do in the village you can easily leave the car at home. In the village itself we have the Wildcat Trail, Highland Folk Museum, horse-riding, golfing, fishing, wildlife watching and great hillwalking as well as some lovely low level walks. There are 3 cafes and 3 pubs as well as a small variety of shops, and a small swimming pool. There are also several craftspeople who offer bespoke courses in crafts like jewellery making and textiles. Active Outdoor Pursuits offers rafting, canoeing, ski-ing, mountain biking, gorgewalking etc and can pick you up from the front door.,

A few miles away we have the Highland Wildlife Park and Dalwhinnie Distillery and Aviemore is only 15 miles away.
