Thoroughly enjoyed a weekend stay here in July 2014. The cottage is well equipped with plenty of space and in a beautiful area ideally located close to local shops and cafés. Large garden which was… More

Ideally located cottage with everything required for an enjoyable week. Cottage was very comfortable with an excellent garden which ,due to the heatwave during our stay, we were able to make full use of.

"Well equipped but doesn't feel like a holiday cottage."
The cottage was very well equipped with a large garden as stated in the description. However the garden was overlooked by other properties on all sides and therefore, though the weather was lovely we did not feel as if we could use it at all. Perhaps some sort of screening would be a good idea. The lounge window would not open which we felt was very bad, both it and the bedroom windows were also overlooked without any net curtains so in order to obtain any privacy we had to close the big curtains. Disappointed!

"The Attention to detail made it home from home"
It was a wonderful holiday, made better by the accommodation. Especially given the time of year, the cottage was beautifully decorated, including a Chtistmas tree. The cottage was warm and comfortable, and included everything we needed for a Christmas stay, It has two goos bedrooms - the larger with extra beds would be great for younger members of the family given there is games machine and tv and games and toys!! The property is suberbly placed in the village of Newtonmore, being very quiet, but within a wee stroll of local holtels, bars an shops. A short drive - or cycle/walk in the summer, to Kingussie. and slightly longer to Aviemore. Near the main A9, and with a local railway station it is ideal for visiting Speyside, and the Cairngorm National Park.
Excellent accommodation, - many thanks

A very well equipped property in a lovely area with plenty to do and amenities nearby. Cottage was spotless - looked like a brand new bathroom had been recently fitted - with lots of room for the family. If you like walking and other oudoor pursuits then I cannot fault this vacation at all. Happy to recommend and we will be back!
