Porth Veor Manor provides a coastal retreat in a tranquil haven with direct access via a private footpath down to the sandy beach, only a mile from Cornwall's premier holiday resort of Newquay. The neighbouring bays of Watergate and Mawgan Porth beckon the keen walker along coastal paths.

Set in nearly two acres of terraced lawned gardens in an elevated position overlooking Porth Beach this charming mid-19th century Manor is now a well-appointed hotel incorporating the Beaucliffes Restaurant. Situated in the hotel grounds there are twelve luxury villas and apartments, sleeping up to 6 people, which can be booked on a self-catering, bed and breakfast or half board basis.

The quality facilities at Porth Veor Manor, available to all hotel, villa and apartment guests, include a superb restaurant offering fine dining, a good wine cellar, attractive well-stocked bar with lounge areas, conservatory and heated swimming pool (open April to October). Lunches are served in the dining room, whilst snacks plus morning coffee and afternoon teas are available in the bar, lounges or on the terrace.

DISABLED CLIENTS are most welcome. However there is only one ground floor apartment suitable for guests with walking difficulties. Access to all the other units involves a variable number of steps/stairs.

All bookings are subject to a booking fee of £25.00.

A £150.00 deposit is required in order to confirm the booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks before the commencement of the holiday.

A swipe of a credit card is required as a security bond and will be taken upon arrival at the reception.

Payment can be made by credit/debit card with no surcharges, Paypal, BACS or cheque.

Accommodation available from 4pm on day of arrival.
Please vacate on day of departure by 10am.

What ever time of year you choose to visit North Cornwall you can be guaranteed of plenty to do. You can enjoy rugged cliff top or quiet countryside walks, cycling, surfing or relaxing on many glorious sandy beaches. Cornwall really is a place of outstanding natural beauty.

Enjoy the cultural centres of Penzance, St Ives, Mousehole and Lands End which all have their own charm. Visit the Minack theatre where you can enjoy an outside performance with an enchanting back drop. Don't forget to bring your picnic hamper and wine! A must for Restaurant lovers is Jamie Oliver's "fifteen" at Watergate Bay. It's a good idea to book on line before you come down to avoid disappointment if you want to eat here!

Newquay boasts the only zoo in Cornwall, where they fully support overseas conservation. The Blue Reef Aquarium allows you to have a close encounter with a shark or stingray! Newquay boasts an excellent tennis centre situated in beautiful Trenance Gardens, and a swimming and fun pool.

The Newquay / Porth area

Although renowned for its fabulous coastline and beaches, there is more to Newquay than sea and surf. The only zoo in Cornwall is here with over 300 animals and fabulous landscaped gardens, or see sharks and stingrays at the Blue Reef Aquarium.

There are also the delights of a cafe society with trendy beachside bistros, stylish high street venues and local restaurants including Jamie Oliver's 'Fifteen' at Watergate Bay. Traditional british food is always available from the cafes, pubs and take-aways around the town.

Newquay is great for children and adults alike with it's trendy nightlife and days relaxing on the golden sands. Play a round of golf or take a trip around Newquay bay and catch some mackerel. Indulge in a little retail therapy or visit some of Newquay's fantastic attractions.

Or if you really do live to surf, look no further than the famous Fistral Beach.

Newquay is 80 miles from Exeter, travelling along the A30 after leaving the M5. Directions will be supplied once a booking has been made.

Arriving by train:
Newquay train station is in the town centre. There is a taxi rank just outside the station.
