The West Country region

Cornwall, Dramatic coastline, miles of sandy beaches, picturesque harbours and villages, rugged countryside and a fascinating heritage – Cornwall has something to offer in every season.

A mecca for surfers, Cornwall has dozens of surfing beaches each with their own unique character. Why not try a lesson from one of our local surf schools? Cornwall's most popular beaches are lifeguarded throughout the summer, and with many beaches stretching for miles with soft golden sands it's a great place for families to play and relax.

Cornwall is also a walkers' paradise, with over 2,000 miles of public footpaths, including the famous South West Coast Path, amongst other routes and trails. With nearly 1/3 of the county designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty you will never be short of incredible sights in Cornwall, from the causeway at St Michael's Mount, the historic town of Mousehole, St Ives and numerous fishing villages bringing in their daily catch of fresh fish and seals lazing on the rocks surrounding the headland in Newquay!

A visit to the Eden Centre shouldn't be missed and the lost Gardens of Heligan is on most peoples 'to do' list.

Our Chalet overlooks Newquay Boating Lake and is just a short walk through Trenance gardens to Newquay Zoo and its attractions.

Newquay, has something for everyone, all within walking distance, are the river Gannel walks, beautiful beaches, cliff top walks,

Newquay harbour, plenty of shops, restaurants and a lively nightlife.

Some other local attractions are the Blue Reef Aquarium, Trerice Manor, Dairyland, the beautiful city of Truro and much more.

Newquay has numerous restaurants to suit all tastes from Italian, Thai, Indian, Chinese and Mexican, to the gourmet burgers, steaks

and ribs served at the Bank St Bar & Grill and Noodle bar and not forgetting award winning fish and chips. mmmmmm!!!
