The West Country / Cornwall region
The face of Cornwall's vibrant image has evolved from a rich history and culture that still lives and breathes throught the sights and scenery scattered throughout the county. And with over 50 miles of heritage coastline, stone circles, castles and a rich maritime heritage, it's a history worth of discovery and celebration.
The nearby Eden Project was conceived by Tim Smit to construct and maintain a large-scale environmental complex on a property located about 8km from St Austell, Cornwall. Although relatively new, the project has quickly becomeone of the most popular visitor attractions in the UK. The complex includes two giant, transparent domes, each emulating a natural biome, that house plant species from around the world.
Weather-wise, the westernmost tip of mainland Britain benefits from the effects of the Gulfstream and Cornwall's climate is much milder than the rest of the country.
Newquay area
Newquay is a magical town bringing together a mixture of buzzing nightlife and luxurious reclusion. It has an array of attractions and places to visit including a zoo and a water park. It is the capital of England's surfing scene with 11 beaches stretching over seven miles of golden sand,, and we can recommend some local surf schools upon request. The Blue Reef Aquarium is only a few minutes walk from the apartment and is a wonderful experience for young and old alike. You can walk around the headlands to all of Newquay's beaches or enjoy a round of golf at the local course, all of this is just outside your front door.
How to get there
By Car: Follow M5 southbound til the end, then at Junction 31 exit onto the A30 towards Bodmin. Take the A39 followed by the A392 to Newquay, then turn right at Tregunnel Hill, then turn left onto Mount Wise. Very easy to find!
By Coach: National Express provides a coach service to Newquay from locations throughout the UK.
By Train; Newquay railway station is less than a mile away from the apartments and is the terminus of the Atlantic Coast Line that runs from Par railway station. It is operated by First Great Western.
By Air; Newquay Cornwall International Airport is a destination for flights from many European and UK airports including London Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Bristol, Cardiff, Cork, Dublin, Belfast City and the Isles of Scilly. It is just 6 miles away from Newquay town and so within easy reach by taxi. If preferred, an on-demand bus service between Newquay and Newquay Airport is available which requires pre-booking. It departs every 30 minutes at times to suit flights and operates every day that the Airport is open.
