Home description
The Gatehouse is a beautiful cornish level crossing cottage which has been renovated to be a sympathetic mix of old and new and to the very highest of standards throughout. (Be assured that the property is on a small branch line so mininium noise from a small shuttle train at about 5 times a day from St Austell to Newquay is all that is heard and with the train on the doorstep, is readily available to any visitors). With its positioning being central to all the main attractions such as Eden, Hall for Cornwall, Falmouth Maritime Museum to name but three and also being some 7 miles from some of the best beaches that Cornwall has to offer, this makes it a must for any visitor and an ideal cornish retreat. The cottage has a beautiful garden and at the rear of the property having a large decking area with table and chairs, so you can have that al fresco dining experience and a BBQ supplied to give you a helping hand.
With the cottage situated on the fringe of the village of Indian Queens you will find that it is within walking distance to all the local amenties such as , Co-op, Post Office,Cafe/Takeway and being with 1/2 mile of a country park which has a full golf course and recreational facilites including a swimming pool and gym area as well as a restaurant incompassed in it's grounds, for use by member and non-members alike. The village also has both as chinese restaurant/takeaway and also the renoun fish & chip shop of Port & Starboard. With a scattering of very respectful public houses in the immediate area to try. This cottage is close enough to all the amenties but far enough away to give any visitor the relaxing holiday they need, ideal for families and couples alike.
