To walk in to Newquay town centre, would take about 20 - 30 minutes. Many guests are happy to walk in to the town.
This village is the oldest part of Newquay, and it is here the original Porth quay was situated.
When the quay moved down the coast, a 'new quay' was born, and Porth became the charming place it is today.
The local pub, the Mermaid Inn, is just 2 mins walk away, right on the beach, perfect for enjoying 'al fresco' dining right on the beach !!
This is the perfect location for guests who want to enjoy a relaxing break, who don't want to stay right in the town centre.
There are so many attractions and places to visit, within a short drive, the location is very central to visit anywhere in Cornwall.

This lovely apartment offers everything you could need for a lovely holiday, the beach is just at the bottom of the road, fantastic location!! This apartment does have a small balcony, but there is no other outside space to relax, but obviously the beach is just at the bottom of the road, so this really is the perfect location !!
This apartment block was built in the seventies, so it certainly isn't one of the new ultra modern apartment blocks that are being built all around the area - but internally, it is a lovely modern well equipped apartment, always lovely and clean, with all beds made up for your arrival. Offering great value for families and couples. We charge less than you would pay for a caravan !!

Porth is a lovely quiet area of Newquay, yet is just minutes from the ameneties + buzz of Newquay.
Porth is a fantastic central location, from which you can explore Cornwall, and everything it has to offer, we leave lots of information to help you to plan your days out.
There are so many fantastic places to visit, with a host of wonderful restaurants close by. Jamie Oliver has opened his Fifteen Restaurant just further down the coast at Watergate Bay, and of course Rick Stein has his restaurant empire at Padstow, well worth a visit. A great day out for the whole family is to cycle the Camel Trail, we usually drive to Padstow, and cycle the trail from here to Wadebridge, it is so beautiful and scenic, it runs alongside the estuary, and is very very flat, so great for families. (you can easily hire bikes from the bike sheds at Padstow)
There are many other fantastic restaurants close by, Lewinnick Lodge at Pentire, Newquay is a favourite with us, very modern with stunning sea views, great food.
Porth offers peace and tranquility, and yet is just a short drive from the many attractions, and wonderful beaches that the area has to offer. The beach is just at the bottom of the road, which is fantastic, you don't need to try to park at the beach during busy times when parking is difficult, and expensive !! You can easily just walk to the beach, the lovely family pub, The Mermaid In is right on the beach, they offer great pub food, and children's meals, they offer dining outside, overlooking the beach.
You will find lots of information at the property, to help you with ideas for days out, surfing schools, local supermarkets, and restaurants.
Your holiday time is precious, and we understand that you want to make the most of every minute !!
There are many great theme parks, zoos, childrens fun parks close by. Dairyland nr Newquay is lovely for young children, they can feed the animals, have fun in the play areas, see the cows being milked in the orbitor, lots of picnic tables are available, so that you can relax and watch them play. Also lovely cafe and shop on site.
Many attractions offer special offers, it is a great idea to buy a local newspaper, and look for special offer tickets etc.

"Nice location, very close to beach :)"
Stayed here for a few nights in May with our friends. Apartment is nicely situated, very close to the beach and shops are a short drive away. Apartment was very clean and the Landlady Jane was very friendly and helpful at all times. Was smaller than we anticipated but we were out most of the day so worked out ok. Thank you :)

"Excellent location, amply equipped apartment, off road private parking,"
We had a lovely relaxing break over the Christmas period staying here. We travelled on Christmas day and were able to arrive at a time to suit us. A lovely situated apartment within a very quiet residential area. Literally 5 minutes walk down a fairly steep road to Porth beach. Great sea views over and between rooftops, excellent for checking out the tide times! Small local shops 5 to 10 minutes walk away. The Mermaid Inn is just 10 minutes walk away and serves tasty great value meals, friendly staff, lovely family atmosphere and dog friendly. Endless excellent cliff top and beach walks. Newquay town centre is a short 5 minute drive away and is a comfortable longer walk if you wanted to leave the car at the apartment. The parking at the apartment allows full and close view of your vehicle from the apartment, ideal for us because we left our kayak strapped on the roof of our car and occasionally left a wet "beach soggy" pooch, within ear shot, in the car to dry off a little. This first floor apartment is a perfect base for trips to St Ives, Lands end, the Lizard peninsular, Padstow or even trips to Cornwalls eastern coastline. The outstanding feature of this apartment are the owners who are readily available to contact should you have any queries and are simply the loveliest people to deal with. A thoroughly enjoyable relaxing break was had by all. Thank you so very much. xx

"Lovely apartment, would definitely stay there again"
This apartment is very close to Newquay centre (5 mins drive), and within walking distance to the beach. It was perfect for 2-4 people. I would definitely stay there again on my next visit to Newquay

"Enjoyable and relaxing"
Overall the apartment was just what we needed. Very close to the beaches and a view of the sea to wake up to.

"Excellent Holiday Rental"
This holiday apartment is a real gem. Pristine clean and roomy enough to fit my family of four in comfortably. There is a balcony with a sea view which can also be seen from the bright and sunny living area. The apartment is ideally situated near Porth beach which is a five minute walk away and only 20 mins walk away from Newquay.
I found this apartment very reasonably priced too. It's great value for money.
My family and I had a wonderful holiday in this apartment and highly recommend it.

this ia a very clean and well situated 2 bedroom apartment well equipped with everything ,great ocean views from the balcony and a few minutes to beautiful porth beach ,allocated parking is great too and freeview tv ,overall a very nice place to stay
