Converted about 20 years ago this character property is thought to date back some 200 years. The accommodation is based on a reverse level theme with the exposed beam living area on the first floor allowing the extensive views be enjoyed through the full length window.
Only 5 miles from the Airport and 3 miles from Porth Beach the property is ideally placed for the perfect family holiday either touring Cornwall or enjoying the nearby coast. The Atlantic Highway is just about 10 minutes away giving easy access to some of the best parts of Cornwall. Alternatively for walkers the South West Coast path can be reached quickly by car .Close by is Watergate bay with Jamie Olivers famous "Fifteen" Restaurant. Internationally famous for its surfing beaches and with a spectaular coastline the area also lends itself to family activity holidays.
This lovely property is a comfortable real home, not compromise accommodation created just for the holiday market. The lounge/diner for example measures about 15'X 23' . With a private garden and BBQ in the summer and real open fire in the winter it is the ideal retreat.
The Barn includes a lockable garage to keep your surfboards bikes, walking boots or other equipment secure

The West Country / Cornwall region
This sectionof the Cornish North Coast has a stunning coastline to enjoy and the area is packed with things to do and see. Whilst internationally famous for surfing, there is plenty to occupy everyone, from beautiful beaches to the spectacular South West Coast Path and surrounding countryside. The Eden project is only a short drive and there are also the Lost Gardens of Heligon, Trerice, Bocastle, Tintagel and many other historical sites to visit. A complete variety of visitor atttractions to suit all tastes are situated throughout the area . Cornwall’s climate is warmed by the Gulf Stream, Summers are often warm with plenty of sunshine and Winters are mild, making it perfect for coastal walks, water sports or just relaxing on the beach.
Newquay / Porth area
The Newquay area has fourteen brilliant beaches offering everything from Surfing and Water Sports, to safe sand play for toddlers. All with excellent facilities and some with caves and rock pools to explore. For the more energetic why not try Kite Surfing, Canoeing Coasteering or one of the other numerous activities on offer.There is no better place to take surf lessons than in Newquay, either at the famous Fistral beach or at one of the alternative great beaches along this coastline
For gentle exercise you might try taking a leisurely stroll around Newquay’s Discovery Trail, a relaxing walking route which takes you around town visiting local shops showing you some of Newquay’s history,and legends. Alternatively, there are more than 10 local circular walks . These take you onto the beaches or sometimes the cliff paths and other points of natural beauty . Aditional places worth a visit include the the River Gannel tidal estuary, the harbour and Huer’s House , For a family day out the Trenance Leisure Park.includes Newquay Zoo, Waterworld, a miniature railway, a boating lake, Newquay’s oldest cottage, gardens, and bird sanctuary.
For those more intent on enjoying the coastline, the scenery is spectacular, particularly to the North. The South West coast path takes full advantage of high cliff vistas. one example being Bedruthen steps, only about a 15 minute drive from Trewince Barn, which can be visited for its own sake or as a useful starting point for stunning walks.

Lovely location and facilities,perfectly located for kids activities around Newquay in particular. Definitely a better choice than St Ives or Falmouth as originally considered Andy Harris
