Cornwall is well known for spectacular beaches and coastal walks. There is an abundance of history and with its mild climate it is perfect as a year round holiday resort for walkers, ramblers and golfers. There is lots to do for families such as the maritime museum at Falmouth, The tate gallery at St Ives and Flambards adventure park to name but a few.

Newquay

Porth is situated a 3 minute drive out of town or a 15 minute stroll along the clifftops. Porth Beach which is on the doorstep is a sandy cove which is enjoyed by families due to the facilities and seasonal lifeguard cover. The apartment overlooks whipsiderry beach which is accessed via steep steps but is well worth the visit. Although no facilities the cove feels very exclusive and has fab rock pools for the kids to play when the tide is out. You can walk along this stretch of beach to Watergate Bay if the tide is out or along the cliff tops in approx 15 mins. Porth has a general convenience store, beach store and a large family pub that backs onto the sand along with an adults only spanish type tapas bar. You can park on the sand where there is a large cafe and toilet facilities. Newquay itself has many attractions including tennis and badminton courts, zoo, waterworld, sports centre, and sealife centre and of course fistral beach, with its numerous surf competitions, and for those more energetic of an evening Newquay is well known for its nightlife and many different choices of restaurants. In addition there are numerous attractions all within a short drive or coach (from Newquay) including the well known Eden Project and theme parks aplenty.
