Lovely accommodation and ideal location for various locationvisits (but wouldnt recommend visiting Newquay!) Good for families and the owners were extremely helpful but unobstrusive! It felt like home from home so that must be good.. Only small negative was that sometimes we were woken up by a fast driving tractor(?) at about 2am in the morning...but will still come to visit again! |

We enjoyed a really wonderful, relaxed break at Trerice. We felt very welcome by Jo, there were some lovely touches that went above and beyond usual holiday rentals such as fresh flowers on the table, biscuits/tea/milk on arrival, tea towels, a treat for the dog and salt/pepper etc in the cupboards - all thoughtful little extras that help make your stay a little easier. Jo had even kindly taken in our Tesco shopping that had been delivered much too early. The barn (The Byre) was exactly as it looks online, if not nicer. Its impeccably clean, furnished to a very high standard and really well placed for exploring Cornwall. The bathroom has the most amazing powerful shower which was heaven after a day out trekking the Cornwall coastal paths! If we had one complaint it would be that the bed was a bit too soft which meant we had a few interrupted nights but we rectified this by sleeping the twin room which had firmer mattresses, however had we traveled with kids this wouldn't have been possible so would have posed more of a problem. However this is the only criticism we could find with the whole holiday and we would definitely recommend to friends and will visit again soon we hope! |

Barn - The Byre. A very well provided for barn with high quality fixtures & fittings etc . For the 1st time there was obsolutely nothing we wished we had brought with us as everything needed was provided for - a very well thought out place. The views were superb and you could not hear a sound in the distance. fairly remote down country lanes yet only 5miles to the beach - brilliant!! Outside was adequate parking for each barn, a lawned area with picnic benches to use still allowing enough space for the kids to play and even more impressive was the shed which contained outdoor things - bbq's, parasols, windbreaks, garden games - swingball, football, garden jenga and lots lots more!!! (and i was queen of garden jenga!!) Our 1 disappointment was the beds. We struggle to share a double bed as we are used to a kingsized bed probably because neither of us are 'skinny minnies' so in the end our son had the double bed and we had to have the twin room which meant there was no mirror/dressing table in the twin room but that was more to do with our pref for a kingsize bed. if I could recommend anything it would be to remove one bedside table and put a kingsize bed in adn then we would be back year after year!!! Great village shop 1 mile away with instore bakery and everything else you could need. Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your kind review. You could try our HAYLOFT BARN 166833 with a KING SIZE BED, which provides two bedroom reverse accommodation for 4/5. Maybe a rematch at JENGA next year? |
