Poppy Barn is a converted end of terrace barn in lovely rural surroundings with superb front and side views of the countryside looking towards Colan, St Mawgan and St Columb Minor near Newquay.
The barn enjoys an elevated position to take advantage of this uninterrupted rural setting within its own private meadow field. The property would appeal to couples and families who enjoy the countryside and yet Newquay's beaches are only fifteen minutes away by car. With the barns in such a good rural location there is a variety of wildlife on hand, fishing lakes closeby and DairyLand is a popular tourist attraction two miles away.
The property has its own private terrace with furniture and a BBQ.
There is a parking area and turning bay near the building and guests can enjoy the large meadow field.
By car, the village of Quintrell Downs is nearby with its three pubs, The Two Clones, The Quintrell Inn and The Treffry Tavern, there is a recently opened Spar shop for groceries and access into Newquay by bus or train is an alternative to using the car.

BEDROOM ONE Standard double bed, side tables and lamps, dressing table and mirror, wardrobe hanging rail. Chest of drawers.
ENSUITE BATHROOM Part tiled, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail, bath with electric shower and shower screen.
BEDROOM TWO Two single beds which are zip and link which can be used as a king sized double bed, side tables and lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe hanging rail.
ENSUITE BATHROOM Part tiled, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail, shower cubicle with electric shower.
Storage cupboard.
HEATING Electric heating throughout the property.

OUTSIDE Private terrace with patio furniture and BBQ. Steps down to the path and out onto the meadow field. Car parking, turning bay. Storage shed for bikes, surfboards etc and bin store for rubbish.
ACCESS To access Meadow Barns guests must turn off the A392 into a short lane, through the metal field gate and drive down to the parking bay adjacent to the barns. If guests are staying in Poppy the end terrace barn there is a walkway along the back of the building coming out onto the terrace and through the patio doors into the lounge. Otherwise, guests can walk along the path at the front of the building and up the steps of both barns onto the terraces.

PLEASE NOTE: WE REGRET THAT THIS PROPERTY CANNOT ACCEPT BOOKINGS FROM ALL MALE/FEMALE PARTIES OR GROUPS UNDER AGE 25.
All bookings are subject to a booking fee of £25.00.
A 25% deposit is required in order to confirm the booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
A security bond of £100.00 is required upon payment of the balance, which is refunded following your departure, in line with our terms and conditions.
Payment can be made by credit/debit card with no surcharges, Paypal, BACS or cheque. ONLINE BOOKING AVAILABLE. (please click on the website link in the contact details box).
Accommodation available from 4pm on day of arrival.
Please vacate on day of departure by 10am.
The West Country / Cornwall region
What ever time of year you choose to visit North Cornwall you can be guaranteed of plenty to do. You can enjoy rugged cliff top walks, surfing or relaxing on many glorious sandy beaches. Cornwall really is a place of outstanding natural beauty.
The Eden Project is within a half hour drive of Newquay. The cultural centre of Penzance is 40 miles away. St Ives, Mousehole and Lands End all have their own charm. Visit the Minack theatre where you can enjoy an outside performance with an enchanting back drop. Don't forget to bring your picnic hamper and wine!
The Newquay / Quintrell Downs area
Although renowned for its fabulous coastline and beaches, there is more to Newquay than sea and surf. The only zoo in Cornwall is here with over 300 animals and fabulous landscaped gardens, or see sharks and stingrays at the Blue Reef Aquarium.
There are also the delights of a cafe society with trendy beach side bistros, stylish high street venues and local restaurants including Jamie Oliver's 'Fifteen' at Watergate Bay. Traditional British food is always available from the cafes, pubs and take-aways around the town.
Newquay is great for children and adults alike with it's trendy night-life and days relaxing on the golden sands. Play a round of golf or take a trip around Newquay bay and catch some mackerel. Indulge in a little retail therapy or visit some of Newquay's fantastic attractions.
Or if you really do live to surf, look no further than the famous Fistral Beach.

Had a week at Poppy Barn and we were not dissapointed. Great location only ten mins from Newquay with lovely views from big sliding door windows over a valley. Rooms were a great size and spotless, everything we needed was supplied and the addition of a cream tea waiting for us on arrival made up for our long journey. This is our second time staying at Poppy barn and it was as good as our first stay a year ago! The barn is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. It was extreemly clean and has great views across the fields. The location is ideal for getting arround cornwall being close to newquay and the pub down the road is within walking distance however there is no path and it a little scary walking home after a few drinks! My husband and I arrived at Poppy Barn in June 2011. The pictures are lovely but they really don't do the barn justice, it is absolutely gorgeous.
