A very comfortable, well laid out, detached bungalow style cottage sleeping up to 4 adults, plus there is space for a cot for a child under 2. It has a large corner plot, and is very conveniently located in a sunny spot between Crantock and West Pentire, only a few minutes walk from Crantock's beautiful sandy beach and the River Gannel. It is convenient for both the village and Crantock beach. A home from home. The Corner House provides an excellent self catering base and comes very well equipped.
The Corner House has an enclosed patio garden at the rear of the property which faces North and East. To the front there is a low walled garden laid to lawn with shrubs around two sides outside which faces South and West. There is room for one car on the driveway, additional cars will need to be parked in St Carantoc Way.

The Corner House is spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented in a homely and un-fussy style. The accommodation is all on one level with a beautiful laminated floor scattered with rugs throughout. All the rooms lead off the central entrance hall.
The central entrance hall leads to a spacious, comfortable sitting room complete with fireplace and log burner follows through to the dining room and kitchen on one side of the cottage. On the other side of the hall are the two bedrooms and shower room. One bedroom has a double bed (4'6”) the other has 3' single beds. Each of the bedrooms have a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables, complete with side lamps. The Master Bedroom has a TV. The capacious shower room with its large, spacious shower cubicle has an electric shower.
The kitchen can also accessed via the central hallway and leads through into the sitting room via the dining area. It is fitted with a selection of wall and base units, microwave, fridge, fitted oven and ceramic hob. The breakfast room is separated from the kitchen by a very practical and useful breakfast bar.
A door to the rear of the kitchen leads, firstly, into a lobby (where the washing machine is housed). From this lobby access is gained, one way, to the enclosed patio garden with garden furniture, and the other way to the front garden.

Cornwall is an excellent place to eat and drink. It has everything from the local Cornish Pasty (available eveywhere!) through to award winning resturants, such as Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver.
There are many National Trust properties in Cornwall that are definitely worthy of a visit. Many of our beaches are National Trust owned, members can park for free at these beaches.
The Newquay / Crantock area
Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, two pubs a tea rooms, an art gallery, gift shop and a village store.
It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round.
Crantock and Polly Joke beaches
Crantock Beach is a great beach for families and surfers alike. It has a wide sandy beach with sand dunes between the beach and the village. At low tide you can walk along the beach to West Pentire.
Polly Joke beach is the next beach around the coast going west. It has been described as one of the best beaches in Cornwall. It has to be walked to, making it less busy than other beaches in Summer.
Crantock has two pubs, the Cornishman and The Old Albion Inn, which are a short walk from the properties in Crantock Village. The Bowgie Inn, in West Pentire, is a short walk from Cormorant, Guillemot and Kittiwake. In Cubert, 2 miles from Crantock, the Smugglers Den, has a reputation for good food and wine.
There are many walks for dog owners near Crantock, including the South West Coastal Path, which passes by the Village and can be reached on foot from all our cottages. Use the map above to see area around Crantock and the local walks that are available. Many of our cottages welcome dogs.
There is a large Morissons supermarket about 5 minutes drive out of the village towards Newquay. There is also a really good farm shop at Lane, which is on the opposite of the road to the supermarket.
Crantock is about 5 miles south of Newquay, which in the summer is a bustling holiday resort with shops, many clubs and pubs. There is a regular bus service to Newquay and taxis can be booked.
In Crantock there is a village store that provides many of a holiday makers essential needs.
Many of our guests use Online supermarkets to order their shopping before they leave.
