At the heart of the Carvynick Resort are 30 modern country villas, cottages, houses and bungalows built within a quiet, secluded, rural environment around a 17th century, grade 2 listed farmhouse, home to the exquisite Stiltskins Restaurant. These tastefully decorated properties have been purpose built to cater for couples and families seeking that perfect quiet holiday retreat.
Central to the Resort is a well-equipped leisure complex and Reception. The main area is dedicated to an excellent indoor heated swimming pool and toddler pool, housed within an attractive barn style conversion. Situated in the same area is a comfortable spectator's lounge where time can be spent simply relaxing and quietly reading a book whilst the children enjoy a swim. There is also a purpose built indoor badminton court, jacuzzi, small fitness suite, sauna and solarium for you to use, as well as a games room and pool table. What ever time of year you choose to visit North Cornwall you can be guaranteed of plenty to do. You can enjoy rugged cliff top walks, surfing or relaxing on many glorious sandy beaches. Cornwall really is a place of outstanding natural beauty.
The Eden Project is within a half hour drive of Watergate Bay. The cultural centre of Penzance is 40 miles away. St Ives, Mousehole and Lands End all have their own charm. Visit the Minack theatre where you can enjoy an outside performance with an enchanting back drop. Don't forget to bring your picnic hamper and wine!
Although renowned for its fabulous coastline and beaches, there is more to Newquay than sea and surf. The only zoo in Cornwall is here with over 300 animals and fabulous landscaped gardens, or see sharks and stingrays at the Blue Reef Aquarium.
There are also the delights of a cafe society with trendy beach side bistros, stylish high street venues and local restaurants including Jamie Oliver's 'Fifteen' at Watergate Bay. Traditional British food is always available from the cafes, pubs and take-aways around the town.
Newquay is great for children and adults alike with it's trendy night-life and days relaxing on the golden sands. Play a round of golf or take a trip around Newquay bay and catch some mackerel. Indulge in a little retail therapy or visit some of Newquay's fantastic attractions.
