The accommodation comprises a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher) opening onto a sitting and dining area with TV/DVD. There is one double bedroom (150cm/5' bed) and a twin bedroom (90cm/3' beds). The shower room has a powerful shower, basin and toilet. There is gas central heating to all rooms. Outside, there is a patio and small garden with a great sea view and private off road parking for 1 car.

Kittiwake has a short flight of four steps up to the bedrooms and shower room.

Seaspray is a single building comprising Cormorant (Holiday Lettings number 144683), Guillemot (Holiday Lettings Number 144688 )and Kittiwake. They share two parking spaces at front and rear and all share the wonderful views of Crantock Bay. Kittiwake is at the rear.

The National Trust own many beaches, gardens and houses in Cornwall.

Newquay

Crantock is a picturesque village of historical note, on the North coast of Cornwall with one of the best beaches in the area. It has an ancient church, two pubs a tea rooms, an art gallery, gift shop and a village store.

It is only five miles from Newquay, but a world apart. It is popular with families in the summer and people who wish to surf, walk and enjoy all Cornwall has to offer all year round.

Crantock is the site of an altogether much older settlement - Langurroc, which means the 'dwelling of the monks'. The village gets it name from the Celtic Saint Caranog, who is also known as Carantoc. It is suggested that Crantock was founded by St.Carantacus in the 5th century, who was the son of a Welsh chieftain, and established his church. The present church is reputed to be built upon the same site.

"Stunning Location"

We absolutely loved Kittiwake it had everything needed for our holiday. A bungalow with 4 steps leading up to the bedrooms. There is a laundry room with washer drier and iron and a supply of books and DVDs. The patio overlooks fabulous Crantock Beach although the shrubs behind the wall did obstruct the view of the beach itself. Its two minutes walk to the Bowgie Inn which has a varied menu and a further couple of minutes walk down the steps to the beach with an abundance of rock pools. These steps are steep and not for anyone with mobility problems. The new Cbay restaurant is minutes away with amazing uninterupted views. There are beautiful walks across to Polly Joke beach and in June the fields are full of wild flowers including the brightest red poppies . The beach itself is a 10 minute walk and reached by a steep hill, its totally unspoilt and does get visited by the local cattle at certain times of the year so sit around the outsides of the beach to avoid a cow walking across your towel. Crantock village is 15 minutes walk and has two pubs tea rooms and a shop/Post Office. Theres a National Trust car park with access across the dunes to the other end of Crantock Beach and the Gannel estuary. We love walking across the bridge at low tide and climbing up to the Fern Pit cafe for a cream tea, then coming back across on the little ferry at high tide.

"Wonderful location."

Do you want a beautiful setting with two marvellous beaches on either side of a National Trust headland? If so, then Kittiwake is the property for you. Ideal for two adults and two children or two adults and a big dog. Four friends might find it cosy.

"Fantastic location and accomodation for a Cornish holiday"

This apartment is ideal for a restful holiday with fabulous views. The accommodation is very clean,comfortable and well appointed, with all a family would need. The location enables one to visit two alternative beaches, one very large with sand dunes ,other a small picturesque cove. The walks and views along the cliffs are stunning, we even saw seals in the bay and off the headland. It is easy to walk to the nearest village of Crantock and buses take you to Newquay in short ride. It is also an ideal place to travel out to other parts of Cornwall .
