The West Country region

Situated on the North Coast of Cornwall, amidst unspoilt beaches, coastal walks, traditional fishing villages, and bustling seaside towns.

Being just 7 miles from the A30 trunk road means that the towns of Padstow (10 miles) and St. Ives (20 miles) are within easy reach along with the county capital of Truro (10 miles).

Cornwall's Tintagel Castle is the rumoured birthplace of the legendary King Arthur.

St Ives has its very own Tate, Tate St Ives.

Many of Cornwall's disused mines are visible and open to the public.

Attractions such as The Eden Project (12 miles), The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth (17 miles) and Crealy Adventure Park (6 miles) ensure that there is something for everyone in the area.

Newquay is known for its 7 miles of golden sand and rugged coast line. It is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Cornwall as it offers something for everyone!

The Jamie Oliver inspired Fifteen restaurant and Fistral Beach, Britain's surfing mecca, are well known draws, yet Newquay offers so much more from secret beach walks to easy access to the rest of Cornwall.

Or maybe try a fishing trip - from an hour trip around Newquay bay, to an all day shark fishing trip. All available from the harbour - just 5 minutes walk away.

The perfect natural conditions produce an ideal surfing coast, which has tempted surfers from all over the world to visit Newquay and try out the waves. As such, it is now widely regarded as the surf capital of the UK and hosts the National Surfing Championships every year on Fistral Beach. It's not just surfing here, Newquay offers many other extreme activities which are becoming hugely popular, such as kite-surfing/boarding, para-gliding, kayaking and coasteering and SCUBA diving.

If extreme activity is not your cup of tea then Newquay is a great base to explore Cornwall. There are plenty of historical places of interest, beautiful coastal paths to explore and opportunities to take in the relaxing Cornish atmosphere.

If the weather stops play, then there are plenty of local attractions to keep you amused such as the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay zoo or the Light House cinema.

"Absolutely Perfect"

I cannot rate this place highly enough, We arrived earlier than the check in time and were warmly greeted by the owner, fresh flowers and cornish fudge were a nice touch. The house is ideally situated… More
