About the home

From only £495 in high season for two people. Great property for two / four people A spacious property, yet priced to suit couples or small families. The property has many outstanding features and recently constructed to the highest standard.

A lovely double bedroom with sea views upstairs - and downstairs a comfortable sofa bed.

The location is perfect. A short walk to the great family friendly Porth Beach - or a five minute drive into the centre of Newquay with several glorious beaches - and great nightlife.

Upstairs is a spacious and beautifully presented double bedroom with distant sea views. The large downstairs area has a comfortable sofa bed in the lounge.

The kitchen and bathroom are both of a very high standard and newly fitted July 2011.

Great beaches, spectacular views surfing, fishing and boating, all have played their part in making Newquay the exciting and vibrant coastal destination it is today. Occupying a fantastic location on the north Cornwall coast, with towering cliffs, pounding surf and a seemingly endless sweep of beaches, its no wonder that generations of visitors have been making their way to this great British holiday base!

Newquay and its surrounds has a great variety of attractions to suit families with young children, families with older children in fact, children of all ages! Don't forget the Eden project.

The Newquay / Porth area

Porth is situated a 3 minute drive out of town or a 15 minute stroll along the clifftops. Porth Beach which is on the doorstep is a sandy cove which is enjoyed by families due to the facilities and seasonal lifeguard cover. There are coffee shops, beach stores and a large family pub that backs onto the sand. Newquay itself has many attractions including tennis and badminton courts, zoo, waterworld, sports centre, and sealife centre and of course Fistral Beach, with its numerous surf competitions, and for those more energetic of an evening Newquay is well known for its nightlife and many different choices of restaurants. In addition there are numerous attractions all within a short drive or coach (from Newquay) including the well known Eden Project and theme parks aplenty.

The are a range of top class Restaurants in the area including Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant, Viners Michelin Star Restaurant and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant at Padstow only 14 miles away.

Newquay is 80 miles from Exeter, travelling along the A30 after leaving the M5.

Arriving by train:
Newquay train station is in the town centre. There is a taxi rank just outside the station.

“Superb accommodation in an excellent location” I will definitely be recommending the apartment to family & friends. Lovely location near Porth beach. To sum it up - superb accommodation, excellent owners, brilliant location, would of liked to stay longer.

“Island View a great place to stay” The accommodation is excellent, modern and clean, with everything you need in a holiday home provided. Recently finished in 2011, everything is brand new . We received a warm welcome from the owners, who live next door. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge, and a cream tea on the side plus other thoughtful extras. It was ideally situated for us as we enjoyed walking to Newquay (along the coastal path a 20 minute walk) and to Watergate Bay. The only draw back to this property is it is situated at the top of a steep hill. Response: Thanks for your review and the five stars recommended. Really pleased you had a good holiday and liked Island View. The property was only built this summer and therefore everything is new as you mentioned. Porth Beach - being only about a five minute walk is the best option for a local beach - it's very family friendly and the favorite choice of many locals.
