About the home

Seasalt is a newly renovated Edwardian town house in the heart of Newquay where you get two for the price of one with 2 x kitchens and 2 x lounges and 2 x car parking spaces.Perfect for two families or a large group.

The central location is the perfect location to surf, party or relax in beautiful Cornwall.
The lounge has stunning sea views over Newquay Bay and to the rear of the property there is a peaceful walled garden.
Towan beach 2 mins. Fistral beach 10 mins walk.
The main shops, bars, clubs and restaurants are all at the end of the road. The perfect holiday get away for singles groups or families.

The property has two newly fitted white gloss kitchens two lounges, four/five bedrooms and three newly fitted bath/shower rooms. All photos are May 2013.

Downstairs;
There are two bedrooms downstairs one with two single beds and one with two bunk beds.
The lounge has a leather double sofa bed and can be used as a bedroom or as a lounge. There is a wet room with shower, hand basin and WC. Kitchen one is also located on the ground floor.

Upstairs 1st floor;
There is a second larger kitchen with table and four chairs, separate WC , bathroom and large lounge. The 3rd bedroom has wardrobes and two single beds.

Upstairs 2nd floor;
Large loft bedroom with en suite shower room, one kingsize bed and one single bed with a pull out extra single bed ,dressing table and drawers.
We can provide one travel cot.

Outside to the rear of the property is a decked private garden.
There are two tables and ten chairs for al fresco dining.

Off -road parking for two small/medium sized cars on the drive at the front of property.
There is also a long stay car park 5 minutes walk away if you bring more than two cars or two large cars.

Noise to be kept to a minimum after 10pm to respect our neighbours.
Owners operate a 3 strikes and out policy on any complaints or anti- social behaviour from guests. Bond will be deducted one third per warning/complaint. On third warning guests will be asked to leave and bond retained.

ONLY the persons listed on booking form are allowed into the property. If any one else is found in the property all guests will be asked to leave immediately and the bond will be retained.
Any breakages will be deducted from bond as will extra cleaning payments if property is not left in condition found.
No smoking in property, smoking permitted in garden only.
Lead named person is responsible for property and liable for any damage.
Owners reserve the right to enter property at anytime for inspection during holiday.

Conditions

A well-behaved dog is allowed and cats for £50 per week.

The Newquay / Central Newquay area

Newquay is on one of the finest coastlines in Europe, with seven miles of golden sandy beaches which are perfect for water-sports of all kinds. Newquay has eleven beaches to choose from, all within a few minutes from the self catering accommodation.

When it comes to dining out there are lots of restaurants to choose from including Jamie Olivers Fifteen restaurant.
Newquay is probably most famous for its nightlife and for surfing, hosting the Boardmasters surf and skake contast each July.
In the winter the beaches are ideal for brisk walks or storm watching.
Newquay is alive with activity from rock-climbing and body-boarding to fishing or bird-watching. Newquay offers much more than just surfing.
There is a whole range of outdoor activities from canoeing, walking, fishing and horse riding. Or visit The Adventure Centre on Lusty Glaze beach to take a course in coasteering, zip wire, abseiling and climbing.

Just a five minute walk from the accommodation is one of Cornwall's finest Links golf courses too.

“Brilliant second time stay!” Another excellent stay at Seasalt. Having stayed here in 2011 we were excited to come back and stayed at half-term. The property was even better than last time as it has been freshly decorated and some of the furniture updated - a little bit like a show home really! There were 8 of us and we had 2 children and a toddler - house felt very safe and we were happy with the choice of bedrooms (some with bunk beds and some with beds that could be singles or doubles). I particularly like the fact that you get 2 of everything in this property as sometimes when your with family it can all get a bit much!! There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so you never have to queue for the loo! Newquay is great for families and the location of the property is second to none! There is now a new addition of a cinema at the end of the road which was perfect for rainy days! I would stay at Seasalt again as I really like the property and have found the owners to be polite and helpful when I made my bookings - they even accommodated us to come into the property a few hours early - couldn't ask for more!!

“Poorly maintained, poor communication from owners, excellent location and great potential.” Our group arrived to a substandard house, which was communicated to the owners and not addressed throughout the duration of the holiday. “perfect location” I stayed at this house for my 40th at the end of feb and bonus spring sunny weather with friends and close family....very cosy house/home perfect for a large group as it consists of good size kitchens,3 bathrooms 2 lounge areas and every room spacious. The off road parking was brilliant as we had 2 cars and we couldn't believe just how close to the centre we actually was...... bars shops and cinema literally 2minute walk and the nearest beach 5 minute max. The surfing duo in our group loved the waves so everyone was happy and clean beaches. I live up north but love Newquay so a surprise like this has made my birthday one to remember thankyou to my lovely family love you all xx

“Avoid like the plague, not as described at all !” House was a health and safety issue.... Mould covered walls, a definate health and safety issue especially if you had asthma , en-suite and toilet not working and could not be used , sofas hurt your back and coxic when you sit on them , generally looked like it hadn't been cleaned or at best had a cloth flicked at it. No communication telling us builders would turn up during our holiday to repair the en-suite property. Work surfaces being propped up in kitchen, also chairs in kitchen were broke and would collapse if you sat on them.A brown stain on some of the bedding sheets (hopefully fake tan ).No dvd player as described so could not play our movies etc. No communication prior to arrival regarding codes to get into property.Owners couldn't care less about our complaints and said we were being petty!! All in all was worse holiday home i have ever booked and will never use this place ever again ! Response: This booking was sep 2012 and booked through another agent so we had no dealings prior to stay.We have had two reviews who stayed after...there was a problem with a leak in the bathroom per photo which leaked into kitchen... when we wanted to fix they refused us entry...they also complained about cleaning but refused entry to correct...cleaning is by outside caretakers not us and we have not had any other complaints...this party stayed after departure time making it difficult for the next guests to park their car and gain entry....you would think they would leave ASAP per review....when we refused a refund this is the vindictive review we get we did offer a free weekend but they carried on with abusive emails....as you can see all other reviews are good. The property has been totally refurbished now as we do every year and new furniture bought ie sofas and new table and chairs as others were not great which was a fair point but to say they collapsed is ridicules . Any inspection welcome...definately no mould on walls !!

“Perfect for a multi generation family stay” We have just returned from our second stay in Seasalt and I can't wait for our third. The layout is perfect for our extended family including an 86 year old, a three year old and a dog. We all had our own space as there are two kitchens, two living rooms and three bathrooms. We also love the proximity to the shops and beaches, everything is on the doorstep. The owner is very helpful and accommodating.

“Excellent location, good house for groups” Great location, right in the centre of Newquay and near supermarket. Lovely house, just like the photos but larger than expected. It's actually a house that used to be 2 flats, one upstairs and one downstairs, so there are plenty of rooms and double the facilities. Only downside is that there are no locks on any of the bathrooms and we had to borrow another table from the lovely lady next door because the kitchen doesn't really accommodate more than 6 people and then it's a squeeze - not really the house to go to if you like dinner parties unfortunately. Also there was no BBQ in the garden but fortunately we brought our own for our veggie guest. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would definitely stay again if we were in a large group. If the house had been cheaper I would give it 10/10 but it was a bit pricey and didn't have enough dining space so I give it 9/10. Response: Thank you for your comments unfortunately we do not have room for a large table in the property but there are tables and chairs to seat 10 in the garden.

“Excellent Family Accomdation by the sea!” Staying at Seasalt was brilliant for myself and my family. There were 8 of us in total with 2 small children and a baby. The house is just of the main street in Newquay but we didn't feel that it was very noisy despite the very busy nightlife. The house is a 'home away from home', it was everything you could need and more- The house had a travel cot and a high chair which made packing the car alot easier! It was a very comfortable stay and we were impressed that the nearest beach was only 2 minutes down the road, the living room even had a sea view! The house was very clean and when we made the booking the owner was very friendly and helpful. The house has lots of guest information on things to do and places to see which was great as we hadn't visited Cornwall before. We found Newquay a great place to stay and it was easy to commute to other towns and tourist attractions from there. There is little parking around the house so we were glad that the house had 2 parking spaces to accommodate myself and my family. A thoroughly enjoyable stay all round- no bad that I can think of really!
