Tintagel: The fabled site of King Arthur's legendary castle set in a spectacular cliff top location
Tate St Ives: This celebrated gallery opened in 1993 and shows the very best of art in Cornwall.
It is well worth visiting the Eden Project, World-famous biome conservatories with plants from all over the world.
There are many exquisite historic buildings to visit in the region, such as Lanhydock House in Bodmin, with its beautiful gardens, and Prideaux Place in Padstow, a celebrated Elizabethan manor house.
Packed full of art shops and restaurants, St Ives is a great day out any time of year.
there is an artificial ski slope in Plymouth, one hours' drive away. Plans have just been passed for construction of a ski slope locally so maybe one day! During October-February there is an ice skating rink at the Eden Project.
Newquay, 6 miles away, is the centre of Cornish tourism and is the major surfing resort of the UK. In Fistral Beach, you can have surfing lessons for all ages.
Its just a 10 min drive to our nearest beaches of Holywell and Crantock. Perranporth is a very popular family beach, and is 8 miles from Goonwinnow. Its 3 mile stretch of glorious sand is renowned as one of the best family beaches in Cornwall.. Keen surfers and kiters will enjoy Fistral, Watergate and Gwithian beaches.
For a great family day out, there is the Crealy Adventure Park at Wadebridge. Alternatively, try the Holywell Bay Fun park for action packed fun with laser shooting and go-karts. There is also the Springfields Fun Park and Pony Centre for fun pony rides.
Newquay Zoo is Cornwall's only zoo, set in ten acres of tropical lakeside gardens. There is also a very impressive display of Cornish and tropical marine species at the Blue reef Aquarium
Play golf at Perranporth, Newquay or use the St Newlyn East 9 hole Golf Course nearby. We have an arrangement with Perranporth Golf Club for reduced green fees. For beginners there is also 12 hole golf course a mile away which does not require handicap certificates.
