Gas fired central heating throughout with additional heating from coal effect electric fire in sitting room. Gas cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, colour TV, DVD player with surround sound etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample roadside parking. Shared use of lawned garden area with garden furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2 miles, pub 100 yards.

The Newquay, Cornwall / Mitchell area
Situated on the old coaching road from London to Penzance, this charming village lies in the heart of the Cornish countryside and enjoys peace and quiet in addition to its lovely pub. This quaint little settlement is still within easy driving distance of Newquay as well as some fabulous beaches, the Eden Project, pretty fishing villages, the cathedral city of Truro and the misty reaches of the Cornish coast. The area also hosts numerous coastal trails and so is popular with ramblers and cyclists looking to explore the region. Bird watchers are also well catered for by the colonies of sea birds dotted along the coast. The famous settings for many Celtic myths and legends are also within easy reach, as is Land's End.

Guestbook for 1450 - Chapel Barn
This is a very comfortable and characterful cottage. It's in a great location, being close to many good places to visit. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The pub up the road does very good food. We particularly liked the open plan living area downstairs, which was spacious and well equipped (e.g. the digital TV with ipod dock). All in all, this is one of the better cottage holidays that we have had, due to the combination of the cottage itself and the good location.

,The location - the cottage was ideally situated between the two coasts, with large towns in easy reach. There was plenty to do everyday. The owner supplied restaurant and tourist tips, etc, with detailed directions. The local pub was good and friendly. We had the weather on our side, which always helps.

,The barn was amazing. Very spacious inside for a small barn conversion. Perfectly situated for all the attractions in Cornwall. The owner was very welcoming and the bottle of wine, fresh milk and orange juice on arrival was a very nice touch.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee per week or short break.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
