A beautifully presented luxury holiday home situated within a small complex of houses having fantastic views across Porth Beach below and out over the sea. Ideal for family holidays - the property has a private garden and decking area. 8 Glendorgal is only a couple of minutes walk from Lusty Glaze Adventure Beach with fantastic facilities for families.

8 Glendorgal is dog friendly and has been equipped for year round use and to a very high specification. The attention to detail makes this property hard to beat. It is completely self-contained, with wooden floors throughout and fully equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable self catering holiday. Beds are made up for your arrival, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included at no extra charge. A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are supplied as standard. Please supply your own beach towels.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Newquay has lots to offer all the family, from beautiful clean beaches to a superb zoo, from an aquarium to a varied night life. 8 Glendorgal is situated just above Porth Beach - one of the best Cornish family beaches. A couple of minutes walk in the other direction is Lusty Glaze Beach with the Lusty Glaze Adventure Beach with fantastic facilities for families. You can book surfing lessons, and also hire surf boards, wet suits and body boards on the beach, or from many of the surf shops nearby. If surfing is not your thing, simply take a good book and a bottle of sun tan lotion with you and relax.

A short drive away is Crantock Beach, brilliant for families with small children. Crantock is accessible via car or the Fern Pit Cafe at the top of Pentire headland down some steep steps. At high tide a little privately owned boat takes you over the River Gannel to the beach for around 70p. Parking is available at Crantock Beach but charges apply. Take the children crabbing on the River Gannel at low tide. You can catch as much as 23 crabs on a good day!

London is 300 miles while a bit closer to home the Cathedral city of Truro is just 15 miles. Well worth a visit is The Eden Project (16 miles) or take a trip to Land's End (42 miles). For some great fish restaurants then Padstow is just 15 miles.

The Newquay, Cornwall / Porth area

Nearby areas of outstanding natural beauty include Lusty Glaze Beach, Watergate Bay, The River Gannel, Crantock and Holywell Beach with the Golf course of Newquay Golf Club located just behind Fistral Beach. Within a few minutes walk there is a Tesco Express and a small shopping complex at Chester Road together with several hotels offering meals to non-residents. The centre of Newquay is a 10 minute walk, therefore close enough for those who enjoy the night life but far enough away for those who prefer to enjoy the beaches, restaurants and the magnificent coastline.

By road Newquay is within easy access of the A30 dual carriageway (twelve miles) which is served by the recently improved A30 bypass at Indian Queens, knocking a good 30 minutes off the journey time in the busy summer periods.

Newquay also has an airport (5 miles from the town centre) with flights from the UK between Newquay, Dublin, Luton and Stansted, along with flights from Europe being added as well. Buses run from Newquay Airport to the Town Centre. Short breaks are available for any day arrival subject to availability. Shorts breaks are charged at 3 nights - 70% of the weekly booking price, 4 nights - 80% of the weekly booking price.

There is a £150 refundable damage bond payable when making a booking. This payment is due with the final balance due 4 weeks before your holiday.
