House | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 9
Uplands is a four bedroomed Victorian family house in the centre of Newport, on the picturesque Pembrokeshire coast. It has the advantage of being close to the shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes and bus route, yet benefits from a large, private garden which has a view of the sea.
The house has many of the original features including the old tiled fireplace, quarry tiled entrance hall and wooden floors.
The ground floor double bedroom and wet room make this ideal for several generations of the family to holiday together, or for the party to include those with restricted mobility.
The addition of a conservatory leading onto a large patio with barbecue caters for the modern appeal of linking both indoor and outdoor lifestyles. From the patio a flight of steps lead to a lawned area which catches the sun especially in the evenings, and you can watch the sun set over the sea.
The house is ten minutes walk from Newport's Parrog beach and next to a lane leading up Carningli mountain.
Newport is popular with families, walkers and boat owners. The beach has vehicular access so there is the option of taking you car right onto the beach, ideal for those with restricted mobility, and great for families.
As the newsagents is only 100m away, no driving is needed to get the morning paper, and you can relax on the sunny patio and really feel like it's a proper holiday!

The Pembrokeshire region
Newport Beach is a superb long stretch of beach with plenty of room to play games and sail boats. Cars can be driven onto the beach for easy access. The beach is backed by a popular nine-hole golf course with club house. At low tide you can walk across the estuary to Newport Parrog, and the walk around the river bank through a bird sanctuary to the road bridge is also enjoyable.
Nature has given Newport a spectacular setting of sea, castle and the towering Carningli- Angel Mountain. At 1100 feet this makes for a wonderful view from the beach.
Oakwood Theme park is a great day out for the whole family and the young at heart!
