"overall lovely place, some minor niggles"

Positives - great position with fantastic view from lounge (large picture window). Very quiet at night. Access to Carningli just uphill from cottage. Cottage clean, beds very comfortable. Felt cosy (though it was reasonable weather while we were there), plenty of hot water for baths. Good cooker. Owner (not local) helpful. Price very reasonable.

Negatives - poor lighting, table lamps in lounge but not near enough chairs to use for reading, (we coped by moving occasional tables, and found a short extension lead), no central light in lounge, only light in dining room was table lamp in corner of the room. Kitchen patchily equipped - plenty of crockery and cutlery but limited range of equipment eg saucepans, dishes for microwave, oven trays. Very warm duvets on single beds - too hot for summer. The overflow for the sink in the utility area is not connected to anything - if you do any hand washing beware as even splashes go straight down below the work surface! The property itself looks 'tired'. (This doesn't bother me at all since it was warm and weathertight, but it might some people.) The remote for the skybox was temperamental and had buttons which didn't work.

Overall - very nice place to stay, would be fantasticwith few changes to address the nigg;es
