Renowned for its fantastic hospitality and wonderful food the Olive Tree is fast becoming the place to stay for visitors to Newport and Cardiff. Ideal for Golf as our nearest course is a two minute walk, see www.parcgolf.co.uk. We are also very close to Peterstone Fishery which is only a 5 minute drive.

Why not visit Tredegar House , set in the beautiful 90 acre (360,000 m²) Tredegar Park, is a 17th century mansion in Britain.The earliest surviving part of the building dates back to the early 1500’s. Visit Caerleon and the Roman Remains Caerleon was the site of one of Britain's three Roman Legionary Fortresses and many believe it to be the location of King Arthur's Camelot.

The Brecon Beacons are only a 35 minute drive away which covers 519 square miles of beautiful national park, over half of which is 1,000ft above sea level. Perfect for the adventurous walker.
There are also many other walks and forest drives in the area within 10-15 minutes drive.


How to get there

M4 Jct 28 – Take A48 sign posted Castleton and St Mellons continue straight on through traffic lights. Straight over first roundabout. Take first exit off second roundabout. At third roundabout you can only turn right onto Church Lane. Turn immediately right sign posted Church Lane Leading to Church Crescent. The Olive Tree is the third house on the right.

The Lavender Room – Double/Twin

The spacious Lavender room has a king size bed, luxury en-suite shower room, LCD TV and DVD player, hospitality tray and hair-dryer. With fantastic views across Berry Hill Farm, The Lavender Room is a popular choice.

The Rose Room

The beautiful rose room is also our family room, situated on the ground floor, with it’s own private entrance. The Rose Room has two king size doubles which can also be made into singles to accommodate four people. Luxury shower en-suite, LCD TV and DVD player. A playstation and games are also available on request. Hospitality tray and hairdryer also provided.

The Daisy Room

The delightful Daisy room, overlooking The Olive Tree garden, has a smaller but equally luxurious shower en-suite, king size double bed, which can also be made into singles. LCD TV and DVD player, hospitality tray and hairdryer.

DEPOSITS: We will require a deposit in order to guarantee your booking; this is normally £25 per room booked or 20% of the reservation value (whichever is the higher), and can be paid by cheque, cash or by credit card (using PayPal, via email). See below for further details of each option. Deposits are non-refundable (unless we have to cancel your booking for reasons outside our control, in which case we will refund all monies received)
