Located on the Medina River, about a mile downstream of the world renowned sailing town of Cowes, this peaceful marina offers 200 berths as well as many amenities including a licensed bar and bistro restaurant and chandlery. Water taxi available to East and West Cowes and the Folly. Suitable for both families and couples, an ideal environment to relax and spend time with the family. The Isle of Wight offers many attractions, both coats and country.Plenty of activities nearby and beaches within a10 minute drive and just a 10 minute drive from the Cowes and Fishbourne ferries.

This end of terrace marina home offers comfortable accommodation over three floors creating a spacious, light and airy environment with stylish, contemporary furnishings. Each bedroom has its own bathroom or en-suite. There are unobstructed views over the marina and has the benefit of a 12m boat mooring, close to the property. The rear patio leads directly onto a communal garden leading to the marina. There are also shared amenities close to the marina tower and play/camping/bbq area for families. Large playing field is situated to the front of the property. Wifi within the marina.

Situated in a unique waterfront location, set in a beautiful riverside valley, Island harbour offers a waterside holiday in a tranquil countryside setting.

Located on the Medina River, about a mile downstream of the world renowned sailing town of Cowes, this peaceful marina offers 200 berths as well as many amenities including a licensed bar and restaurant ‘The Bistro’, shower & laundry facilities, chandlery and repair workshop. There are some great pubs, beach bars and restaurants in this area of the Island.

Enjoy outstanding views beyond of the River Medina and yachts, and surrounding countryside, hosting local wildlife including Kingfishers and Red squirrels.

Country walks and cycle tracks are all close by. Newport, the islands capital with abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants is a 30 minute riverside walk, or only a few minutes by car. Cyclists can enjoy the local tracks which are accessed close by, linking many outstanding miles over the island.

A short ½ mile stroll along the river, leads to the popular yachtsman’s waterhole ‘The Folly Inn’ with lively evening entertainment, good food and large fresco terrace.

There are coastal walks along the beaches which can be enjoyed as well as bridle paths and cycle ways along the downs taking in the breathtaking views of the patchwork countryside and out to sea.

Queen Victoria’s seaside home, Osborne House is just 2 miles away and Carisbrooke Castle can be found just the other side of Newport.

For music fans, Island Harbour is within a short, easy walk for the annual IOW music festival ground, held in 2009 between 11th & 14th June.

Beach Life

Beaches around the island change as you venture along the coast. Gurnard is the closest beach and Ryde itself enjoys 6 miles of stunning sandy beach where cricket games are played on the sand banks during very low tide. Round the coast there are pebbled beaches, sandy beaches, great beach restaurants and pretty marinas, all this part of the coast is well worth investigating.

"A high quality property in a great location overlooking a marina"

"With a bit more thought to furnishings and better care it could be perfect"

This property is 3 storey end-terrace townhouse facing fields and backing onto a marina, situated in a relatively new development which has a large number of empty properties, hence is very quiet. Go… More

The house is cleaned regularly, it is relatively new with high-end fittings and appliances. The cleaner vehemently disagrees with this verdict on cleanliness. There was an issue with one toilet which kept flushing which the plumber has attended to. These things can happen in any house. As there are 4 toilets in the property this should not have been an issue. In addition there were cleaning cloths but the guest apparently was not happy to use the J cloths provided. There is also a small shop on site if alternative cleaning materials are preferred and I am always happy to refund the cost (approval first please from myself of caretaker).

There is a sloped access to the property as well as the steps and my disabled mother uses the ground floor, with access to a shower room (adapted for handicapped persons) and the kitchen/diner but the rest of the house is not easily accessible for disabled persons.

This is a house, not a hotel with concierge service, which many guests conveniently forget. The house has a 4-star rating from the two letting agencies I use and is of a very high standard throughout. It is inspected regularly by both myself and them. Reviews are welome but a more balanced view is appreciated. Considering the low cost per person and the presentation of the house - ample towels, soaps, accessories etc. the house is remarkable value for money.
