Newport, County Mayo
This fabulous home located on the grounds of the owners home is only 2.5 miles from Newport, 15 minutes from bustling Westport. It is traditionally furnished inside with beautiful stonework in the kitchen, wooden beams in the lounge area with TV and cosy bedrooms. There is a nice patio area at the front of the property ideal for taking in the stunning mountain and countryside views available from your doorstep. There is an abundance of activities on offer locally from golf, horse riding, hill walking and set dancing to mention just a few. The lively towns of Newport, Castlebar and Westport are nearby as is beautiful Achill Island. A holiday to be remembered and treasured and a home that you will long to return to in the future.
Westport House is definitely worth a visit during your stay. It is adjacent to the pretty village of Westport. The house entered from the Quay contains a mixture of antique silver and furniture and modern entertainment facilities, whilst in the demesne itself is an ornamental lake, created by controlling the tides of Clew Bay, and a miniature zoo. The 1st thing you will notice about Newport is the 7 arch viaduct spanning the River Newport. Newport is a popular base for fishing in the nearby loughs and Clew Bay. The town is also at one end of the Bangor Trail. There are many excellent blue flag sandy beaches all within a short drive of the property. Everything available from your doorstep for a fun packed holiday for the whole family.
