About the home

Riverside View sleeps up to 5 people. It has one double bedroom and one twin bedded room. For families of 5 a child or small adult can be accommodated on a comfortable folding guest bed which can be placed in either of the bedrooms. The apartment has two travertine marble bathrooms, the main bathroom having a large bathtub whilst the en-suite has a large walk-in shower.

Both the living room and master bedroom benefit from french doors which lead out onto the spacious balcony . Here one can enjoy lovely views of the river Tyne.

The open plan kitchen / living area is double aspect and has a fully fitted contemporary kitchen with every mod con. There is a breakfast bar for informal eating and a dining table for more formal occasions.

The apartment building is situated on the waterfront 100m from the millennium bridge and benefits from a lift and intercom. Step outside the apartment and enjoy a short stroll to the major attractions whilst taking in the sights.

NB Check-in time is 3pm and check-out 11.00am.

NB We cannot accommodate stag or hen parties.

The Northern England / Northumberland region

As well as Newcastle and the quayside itself there are many other visitor attractions within the region.

Over the river in Gateshead you can enjoy the Victorian splendour of Saltwell Park as well as visiting our guardian Angel of the North. There are beautiful beaches at Tynemouth a short metro ride away or a bit further afield the stunning Northumberland coast boasts many attractions including Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle and Holy island. Beamish open air museum is a great day out for the family as are the stately homes of Cragside and Wallington in Northumberland.

Durham with its famous cathedral is a short drive or train ride away. The Roman sites at Hadrians Wall and Segedunum (Wallsend) are also well worth a visit.

The Newcastle Upon Tyne / Quayside area

Within a short distance of the apartment you can admire the Millenium Bridge and walk across it to the Baltic Art Gallery and the Iconic building of the Sage Music Centre. Return via the swing bridge to visit.the Guildhall and Bessie Surtees House, have a drink in one of Newcastle's oldest pubs and enjoy lunch in one of the many cafes. Within a few minutes walk you could visit medieval Newcastle including Moot Hall, the Castle Keep and St Nicholas Cathedral. Of course we mustn't forget the world renowned Tyne Bridge and High Level Bridge.

For gastronomes within literally a few minutes walk you could enjoy Italian, indian, Persian, Turkish, Chinese, French, Spanish and English restaurants. There are innumerable pubs and clubs within walking distance.

For the family the Discovery Museum, Centre for Life, St James Park and the Seven Sisters children' book museum are within walking distance (or if you prefer hop one one of the tourist or Quaylink buses that stop right next to the apartment).

Shoppers are spoilt for choice with the attractions of Eldon Square shopping centre 5 minutes walk away and a 20 minute bus ride to the Metrocentre (the largest shopping and leisure centre in Europe). There is a Sunday market on the quayside selling local crafts, artwork, jewellery and fashion amongst other things.
