Warwick Apartment is a cosy and warm 2 bedroom apartment which sleeps 4 guests (plus 2 if needed on a sofa bed in the living room). Located only 2 miles from the city centre in Newcastle upon Tyne, in a residential area. This ground floor mid-terrace apartment, is perfect for visitors who are looking for a city break and want to explore all that this vibrant city has to offer, Newcastle is renowned for its world class culture, award winning attractions, top class restaurants, excellent shopping centres including Eldon Square and the Gateshead MetroCentre and not forgetting the popular, vibrant night scene.

The apartment has two good size bedrooms; a double and a twin bedroom, both rooms have excellent storage space. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a relaxing and comfortable lounge with a feature fireplace, Wi-Fi, two sofas (one is a sofa bed for parties of 6), occasional table and lamps and a dining table with seating for 4. The kitchen is well equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is a door from the kitchen that leads outside onto a small patio area. The Local Area:

The Apartment is a few metres from Heaton Park which is lovely for stroll or cycle with wide range of trees and shrubs as well as an ornamental grass area and seasonal flower beds. The park has a bowling green with a terraced pavilion where they sell refreshments during the summer months and a large informal playing field suitable for Frisbee and ball games and a natural, circular running 'track' for keep fit enthusiasts.

The popular cultural area of The Ouseburn, home to artists, musicians, great pubs with live music, long established as well as newer creative businesses, visitor and educational attractions is also close by at just over half a mile away.

'The Biscuit Factory' is a cool, contemporary art gallery with several floors of beautiful art and craft exhibits plus an amazing David Kennedy restaurant called 'Food Social' as well as the 'Factory Kitchen' café/coffee shop with stunning views over the Ouseburn valley. This is less than half a mile from Warwick Apartment and well worth a visit during your stay.

The famous Quayside at the River Tyne with all its fabulous night life is only one mile from the apartment and here you will find a wide range of bars and restaurants as well as night clubs and many other places to dance the night away.

By day, you can enjoy a stroll along the river bank, walking across the Millenium 'blinking' Bridge (even more stunning when illuminated after dark) and on to the Baltic Flour Mill art gallery and restaurant. You must visit the landmark building which is The Sage, Gateshead which is home to the Northern Sinfonia Orchestra .

You can take a boat trip up the river Tyne to where the river meets the sea at Tynemouth and you can see what's on at the beautiful Grade 1 listed Theatre Royal on Grey Street:

St. James' Park football ground~ is about two miles from the apartment.

If shopping is your thing, then you won't have far to go to gets some retail therapy. Eldon Square in the heart of the city and one and a half miles from the apartment. This an impressive indoor shopping mall is open from till 9am to 8pm every day (closes 7pm on Saturday) and opens on Sunday from11am till 5pm. Here you will find all the shops you need including Fenwick's of Bond Street and of course a large John Lewis department store.

You also have The Metro Centre, Europe's largest shopping and leisure centre in nearby Gateshead which is easily reached by the no. 100 bus from outside the back of Fenwick's department Sore in Newcastle.

Public Transport:

The No. 1 bus from the bus stop near the apartment which run approximately every 7 minutes to the city centre (direction Slatyford) NB the last bus into town is 10.51pm. The bus takes 8 minutes to John Dobson street (near the city hall music venue and close to Northumberland Street (shopping arae0 or 11 mins to Pilgrim Street (a the bottom end of Northumberland Street near the Monument Metro Station.


Local taxi company 'LA Taxis' will charge you approximately £5 to take you to the city centre.(Pilgrim Street).
