Marconi House sleeps up to 4 people (this is the maximum we will allow as there is not the room or facilities for more and have our neighbour's to consider).

It has one double bedroom and 1 double sofa-bed in the open plan lounge/kitchen.

The apartment is a stunning open plan design with the feel of a penthouse. Due to the design of the building there are no apartments above it and it has the benefit of a terrace that wraps around it on 2 sides giving access from the bedroom, lounge and kitchen via patio doors.

Here you can enjoy lovely views of the Tyne & Millennium Bridge, as well as the Sage building and a 270 degree view of the city skyline whilst enjoying a relaxing drink or meal

The open plan kitchen / living area boasts a fully fitted contemporary kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, ceramic hob and washer/dryer.

There is a breakfast bar for informal eating and a dining table for more formal occasions.

The apartment building is situated just a few yards from the Quayside and City Centre and benefits from 2 lifts and secure dedicated complimentary parking with electric gate access.

Cancellation Policy

1. A booking cancelled by the guest 14 days or more prior to the date of arrival shall have monies returned in full less the £50 deposit.

2. A booking which is cancelled by the guest fewer than 14 days prior to the date of arrival will be charged 50% of the cost of the booking plus the £50 deposit.

3. Non-arrival by the guest(s) - No Refunds Given.


Late check in's unfortunately cannot always be accommodated. Therefore please advise if this is required before making payment, refunds will not be made for bookings where a late check in has not previously been arranged. (Please see cancellation policy on web page for refund details).

LATE CHECK OUT's can be arranged when checking in, this can only be accommodated if there is nobody booked in on the day of your departure.

Northern England region

As well as Newcastle and the quayside itself there are many other visitor attractions within the region.

Over the river in Gateshead you can visit the guardian "Angel of the North". There are beautiful beaches at Tynemouth a short metro ride away or a bit further afield the stunning Northumberland coast boasts many attractions including Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle and Holy island.

Enjoy a day at the races at Newcastle Racecourse for the "Northumerland Plate" (Late June) Beamish open air museum is a great day out for the family as is Diggerland or visit the stately homes of Cragside and Wallington Hall or Belsay Hall in Northumberland.

Hexham and Durham, with its famous cathedral, are a short drive or train ride away. The Roman sites at Hadrians Wall and Segedunum (Wallsend) are also well worth a visit.

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Within a short distance of the apartment you can admire the Millennium Bridge and walk across it to the Baltic Art Gallery with its top floor restaurant "Six" and the Iconic Sage Music Centre. Return via the swing bridge to visit.the Guildhall, Bessie Surtees House or have a drink or meal in one of the many pubs and cafes/restaurants that are situated along the Quayside.

Within a few minutes walk you could visit medieval Newcastle including Moot Hall, the Castle Keep, St Nicholas Cathedral and Theatre Royal on the famous Grey's Street.

For the "foodies" there are literally dozens of restaurants from modern European through to classic Indian, Spanish and Chinese only a few minutes walk away.

Not forgetting the innumerable pubs and clubs adorning just about every street in Newcastle.

Revellers should check out the popular Quayside, Bigg Market, Gate and Central Station areas or just follow the crowds for an unforgettable night.

For the family the Discovery Museum, Centre for Life, St James Park , Hoppings Funfair (Mid June) and River cruises are within walking distance with Royal Quays "Wet &Wild" water-park only a short bus journey away.

Shoppers are spoilt for choice with the attractions of Eldon Square shopping centre 5 minutes walk away and a 20 minute bus ride or train journey to the Metrocentre . There is a Sunday market on the quayside selling local crafts, artwork, jewellery and fashion amongst other things or hop on the metro to Tynemouth station every weekend for antiques and collectables.
